They have definatly messed something up with a recent up date. Im getting 40-55 fps with no AA and with 8x supersampling AA. Before I would get 60-80 fps with 8x supersampling.. !20 fps with 4x supersampling. Now im getting 40-50 no matter what. Same fps too with shadows on max or shadows on low so they have done something there.
Iv read around and others have the same issue...losing 30 or so fps.

That gets updated along the way until it becomes the full game upon release date.

If you're into proper driving games, you need to own this.

Yes the game is still in beta its been getting updated every 2 weeks or so its well worth it @ £15 though.

if your into real driving games this is a must own imo

But once you buy this at beta stage, we get retail game for free correct, i mean we don't pay again do we ?

yes you will get full retail, I think anyone who buys now also gets the first dlc free. better check that though

Yes the beta will turn into a retail version eventually you don't have to pay again for it

Is it any good, or as good as Project Cars, I went through hell recently with P cars with a gamepad, P cars is now finally really playable with a gamepad, but it took months of updates before it happened, problem with early access.

I've got a Wheel as well, but not always set up. Tempted at the price, but if its just a wheel only game, might wait a little longer.

Driving wise its probably the best racer on PC its very realistic and the physics are great.

graphics wise its not as good as Pcars but still looks great and theres graphics updates coming shortly.

The force feedback is really good too if you have it with a wheel.

Bought this today after more than 2 years with PCARS.

It is so so so much better in terms of physics.

Buying a wheel tomorrow morning.

Well I fixed my fps issue. No matter what aa I used 0aa or 8x supersampling or 8 x multisampling I was stuck around 50 fps... Put back in the default colour curves and weather file and straight back up to 150 fps.

A few months ago I regretted buying this so early, even though I got a decent enough discount at the time. Had a quick blast this morning in the KTM x-bow and had a great time blapping it around on the track day challenge. I'm using a xbox360 controller too, it must be brilliant fun with a wheel/pedals

I bought this about 2 months ago for full price. For £14.99 I wouldn't think twice!

Overall it is excellent and I haven't even got round to hooking up my G25 with it, using an Xbox360 controller.

Tim, I also have the cannot move apps to the top of screen issue!

The only real gripe I have with it is the way the cars throw a massive tank slapper if you go into a corner too hot or apply too much power too early. IMO the physics in these circumstances are far too exaggerated and hopefully they will sort that out.

Other than that it is fantastic. I can't compare it to pCars as they won't let me own that until it is released!

not played pCARS, but AC is fine with a controller you just need to play around with the settings to get the right feel for each car.

I wonder if it is an issue though, it is a bit annoying. On the previous page someone said it was normal, but then in that video i posted how does that person get the apps to the top of screen. I am sure it will be sorted out in the future.

Just read a few threads on the AC forums, its not an issue, its just the way the game GUI is designed.
