Assetto Corsa

Are there corner markers and associated 100,200,300 ones on any tracks? The few vids i've watched they seem to be absent. Braking points don't look too obvious.

Looking like this will fill my Gtr2 fix (hoping for long co-driver races, but could be wishful thinking).

How's this game compared to something like Forza? Does it have a good campaign and stuff? Is there a wide range of cars that can be used?
£30 seems a little expensive :o

The Campaign mode and Modding Mode are unavailable at the moment. So your into Practice, Hot Lap, Time Trials and Special Events.

Next update is coming on the 22nd Nov
The new update will bring new features as well as new content as three new cars and two new tracks will be included – More details on the upcoming content has have yet to be revealed.

If you have done some modding using .dds files, you can mess with a few things as well. There would be no way I'd pay £30 for this game currently......but I paid just short of £20, so all in all its great! (my key is World Wide Region Free :) )

Did you buy your key from the same place as others mentioned earlier in the thread?

Well, I didn't like this much at first but it's growing on me, I love the sim handling, such a difference from the grid, need for speed arcade handling. I like the thought of getting features unlocked over time then the full blown thing, just makes it more exciting. Roll on the 22nd for more cars and tracks to test. Can't wait for the racing to start.

What plans do they have for multiplayer? Do they have any persistent stats and incident system a la iracing?

I'm pretty sure I'll pick this up because of the all the buzz surrounding the physics but I'm just curious to know if there will finally be another sim to rival iRacings online career (I'm probably not getting into private leagues).

what is interesting is how the mods will work online.....

I've had this now and got around 9hours playtime in.......

Running the BMW E30, standard setup, TC and ABS on, I can get round the Monza circuit in 1:58.848.... which is pretty quick especially for a keyboard player....

This game isn't even finished and I find that I'm on this all night.

Anyone using Fanatec Hardware, update your drivers to Beta 174, the latest stable drivers are adding stuttering. It really is a noticeable difference. http://eu.fanatec.com/index.php?route=support/faq/details&id=35

I've running 144 drivers on a CSR and not noticed anything... I will give the beta a go later, I'm doing a hotlap challenge on NeoGAF (Tatuus Formula Abarth around Imola) at the moment, and maybe that'd help!

It's a weird one, in iRacing you have enough grip to get the laptimes, but it always feels like the tyre really isn't actually digging in to the track. AC feels it does, so it feels easier to get up to speed, but the last few tenths are really hard to find.
