Assetto Corsa

Anyone played this yet with a G25/G27? If so what's it play like? What's the force feedback like?

Also would love to hear peoples comparisons between this and Pcars. Which one would you spend your hard earned cash on?

Thanks in advance :)

Got a G25 and it was easy to set up, the force feedback and steering sensitivity needed a little tweaking through the settings and the profiler as it felt a little 'floaty' to me at first but its starting to feel better the more I play.

Pcars is more beautiful, Assetto has better physics. But gap in physics is much bigger than the gap in graphics. Overall, AC is a FAAAR better sim.
FFB is very good, but not amazing like it is in Live For Speed or Rfactor2 at the moment. All imho, but coincide with opinions like BSNismo ets ;)

Managed to get my 360 controller dialled in, pretty fun if I just want to have a quick blast. Considering buying a higher end wheel now, it's a toss up between the G27 and one of the Fanatec GT3 + CSR Elite pedals, leaning towards the Fanatec at the moment due to the better pedals.

This or Project Cars?

I've got a senior tool pack for pCARS and I've played the tech preview to Assetto Corsa. I'd say AC is closest to a final release than pCARS is and the physics and FFB in AC feel better too at the moment. If you can only invest time into one of them then I'd pick AC , mainly because it's closer to being finished or at least has more if it's features signed off as finalized than pCARS.

My only concern would be that AC seems to have a smaller development team and possibly a smaller budget, so might end up being lighter on content and online players.

As I've said though, I've only played the tech preview of AC and I haven't touched pCARS for a few months so others maybe able to give you a more up to date opinion.

i'm thinking of getting this but I need to know does it have full remappable controls?

also do you guys think steam will have this on offer at a lower price after 2 months of it being released?

Project Cars has had quite a few major updates recently. HDR as been improved, Mclarens added, a lot of work on Mercs completed now.

The handling has improved, give it another go when you get chance, its still got a long, long way to go, but its getting better IMO.

Was interested in Assetto Corsa but got enough to play at the moment.

I'm not really in the know about early access games.......

If I buy this now, I wont need to buy it again once its full released?

Also, maybe better in the PC deals thread but can this game be got for less £18 and change?

If you buy now, you 'll get it cheaper than release and also get some free DLC - Spa Francorchamps (once its ready) and some cars (dont know exact details).

Well today i can no longer play this game it will not start any more :(

It was working fine yesterday but now nothing it wont even do anything and i have tried every fix on the official forums but to no avail

The only thing that has changed on my pc since yesterday is some windows updates could these be the cause ?

I picked it up already and total 19.27 which officially makes this game the most expensive game I've bought since building my PC, but the DLC and extra cars makes it all good......

Read somewhere that the game will have updates every 2weeks :)

I do like trying to get round Magione in under 1m15s.......i'm slowly shaving the seconds off.
