Assetto Corsa

After latest update I get a black screen when I go to the driving screen?

Anyone had anything like that

Ta

In previous builds I was getting the black screen after hitting the drive button because the game was trying to render the game in a resolution or refresh rate not supported by my monitor.

Just check that in the settings and make sure you're not running anything with an overlay, like MSI Afterburner.

I know it's not the finished product yet but the GUI and menus in general are cluttered and awful. Also a bit silly that I can't navigate menus with the controller and have to keep getting up to the keyboard whenever I want to do anything. Can't even pause the game with the pad unless I'm missing a setting somewhere.

Finally worked out my xfire issue! Gone back to 14.1 drivers and all running great again

Now I have both cards going thought I would give it a good test, 24 Zondas on mugello with all settings near enough on max ( except reflection refresh which appears to be the culprit of the crossfire flicker bug!) which Averaged 35-40 with in car view. Well chuffed!

My love affair with this game has started all over again :)

Looking through AC forums picture thread makes me think about upgrading my rig :

No the game is not pad friendly when navigating the menus, KS even showed how you could do it with a tablet a few years ago but haven't implemented it or canned the feature. I've tried several times and through different avenues to ask them about this and a few other things but I may aswell talk to a brick wall.

Is anyone else's Trento Bondone hillclimb not appearing in the track selection menu?
I updated yesterday and it wast there so deleted all the AC stuff and re-downloaded but its still not appearing.

Hopefully it's something they will put in before the game comes out of Beta. I know it's aimed at sim enthusiasts who will all certainly own wheels but there are a lot of people who play racing games with a 360 pad and for them to not bother supporting it fully is just retarded.

I had a go on Trento Bondone, got bored after a few minutes. Was just too tight for it to be much fun for me, and having to use full 900 degree lock for some of the corners was just tiring! :p

It's very entertaining in the Cobra!

I've been having a blast in the 458 GT2 at Spa. Put it on the super softs and you can really rag it for a couple of laps before the tyres start to go off :D
