Assetto Corsa

I finally got the springs on my pedals sorted out so had a go, have to say for a beginner the career mode is rather harsh I can't even do the first race. I think it would be nice to have it slowly break you in with perhaps some challenges on following lines and carrying speed to teach you to drive.

Just flicked through some screenshots on official forums, the new Ferrari is stunning!

Anyone got some decent 360/One controller settings for this? I had a quick blast last night but found most cars unweildly, was hoping for a Forza like compromise for controller.

I found some on Youtube that worked OK but I'd be interested in getting some decent setting as I'm putting by G27 up for sale this weekend and will have to use a pad until I get a replacement :(

Until this fix is patched into the game it should not go past RC. Well i've been wanting it for ages.

Isnt it the same in all sims? Ithink LFS has the same issue as does rf2/iracing? Not played the latter two for about 6 months though. I would like to see it happen though.

However 1.0 release will never mean that sim is perfect (it will never be perfect), it is just good enough - whatever that means. Kuons said that more cars are on the way few weeks after the release, there is the upcoming nissan/porsche/P1/Nord dlc, and I'm sure physics and ffb tweaks features will also continue to be introduced.

For me the biggest gripe physcis wise was the low speed (0-3km/h) behaviour - no suspension recoil on stop, no rolling down hill etc, not sure if that has been corrected in this 1.0RC?

I wanted physics to be bang on and that was one steering function I was looking forward to since the fix was mentioned in March. I would have thought it would have been pushed to be included before RC given the timescale. But I'm sure it hasn't gone unnoticed from the team.

I've never driven 3km/h to even notice that behavior :p

I haven't noticed any difference to the sounds in the latest patch. However I am not using a 5.1 setup.

I've just done loads of testing of the graphics options after getting low GPU usage and low frame rates in races only, with 2 GTX 970's in SLI.

I turned every setting off and then tested the game in a race with 24 cars.

I could max every setting and I was getting 99% GPU usage across both cards until I came to change Reflection Rendering Frequency.

Set to static and I can max every other setting in game and get 99% GPU usage across both cards and get between 90-120 FPS at 5760x1080.

As soon as I move the Reflection Rendering Frequency slider from static to very low, or any other setting, I get around 30% GPU usage across each card and about 30-40 FPS.

Leaving it on static and the game runs perfect.

I also found that having High Quality Mirror Reflections ticked can cause very slight pauses in the game instead of being smooth.

Looks like they skipped 1.0.2 :p

Lots of audio fixes, downloading now.

1.0.2 RC
- Corrected KTM X BOW factory ABS setting to non enabled.
- Corrected fuel tank placement for Alfa Romeo Giulietta Q.V. 2013
- Corrected setup options for Alfa Romeo Giulietta Q.V. 2013
- Corrected Gearbox ratios for Alfa Romeo Giulietta Q.V. 2013
- Corrected flames position for Mercedes SLS AMG GT3

1.0.1 RC

:D

The Cobra is an utter riot :D Still also loving the F40 S3, KTM and DTM e30 M3 though.
Seem to have setup my G25 better on the new build, finding it much easier to catch slides - the KTM and e30 M3 are really easy to control on the edge and even the F40 no longer feels like a lottery!

F40 is an absolute dream! Love the pops and bangs on the downshifts and lift offs!
