Assetto Corsa

If you press F9 during a race to get rid of the bar at the bottom of the screen and turn it back on again frame rates fall through the floor and the audio dies.

Messing around with a few designs for the Mclaren of next year.. Hoping they go back to the orange skin that hey had a good few years ago.. Took me about an hour or so to throw together, mainly to try and figure out where the parts were on the PSD file.... Quite like it :)

Obviously place skin into your skin folder for the Lotus 125.

I've just found out about the side menu bar thing that lets you hide the hide, show rendering stats, faf with the post processing style, fov, and different views... I'm really getting into AC now!

Are you xfire guys running triple screens? If not just revert to one card untill its sorted. I can run 24 car races at Spa no problem with a 7950 at 1200p - both reflection settings on low but still looks great.

Vid capture test I did of a lap at Spa with modded FOM tv cameras.

Fancy sharing the modded FOM TV camera with me mate?

Thanks

Right just got a chance to do some tests on my system around crossfire

If i turn off the lap data at the bottom of the screen (F9) my FPS with xfire enabled jumps through the roof from 30-40 up to 45-60fps (have vsync on) with full reflections, AA, AF etc

Card usage goes from anywhere between 65-100% on both cards now, where as with that lap data on it was capping around 70-75 at the most

Strange how these little things make such a HUGE difference

That graphic at the bottom is fugly as hell, I turned it off straight away and if it gives you improved performance even better! Some apps can be quite heavy and it amazes me the amount of crap some people have on screen when they play this lol I just use the gear indicator in sequential cars and sometimes lap info in the top left, anymore kills immersion in cockpit view for me.

Fancy sharing the modded FOM TV camera with me mate?

Thanks

It's on the official forum mate. You have to me a member but if you're serious about AC I'd highly recommend joining it, lots of mods and info there.

If anyone runs a second screen or doesn't mind using a tablet etc, check this out: http://www.simracing-tools.de/simtools/index.php/en/dashboard/about-dashboard
It has some very useful features.
Also check out the style gallery. I can recommend the Assetto style.

Don't forget to run it as admin.

Oh, and the map recorder is very useful for those downloaded tracks that don't have a track map.

I am buying dashmeterpro tomorrow as found out the wife's,old Samsung droid handset :)

Add to that picking up a Logitech momo force from a friend on Saturday morning, should be saying goodbye to 360 pad play and hello basic ffb cockpit :)

Had a nice little relaxing drive around Spa tonight.. God I have been away from sim driving for far too long, didn't even want to attack any corner :(
