The Mrs went out last night for dinner, so after I put babs to bed, I cracked open the eGPU and G27, and had a play. As always its great. I also managed to play in my first online session. It was just a GT practice session around Spa, but it was a good laugh. Did some fairly good laps and got up to 3rd.

Great game. And there didn't seem to be that many "punters" online in the session I was in.

Not even looked but just had a thought, are there any people/groups that are building modded tracks from past racing games? E.G High speed Ring from Gran Turismo, or Grand Valley Speedway?

Automn ring looks at about GT4 level and Trial Mountain looks even worse to be fair. I still keep autumn ring though as its just crazy in a good way, very fun and very different from the serious real tracks.

all the modded tracks are ugly as sin unfortunately, i think snoopys nurburgring is the only that can look semi decent if you use later afternoon lighting.

thats this sims big problems, the official tracks like imola, monza, spa, silverstone and magione look nice... but all the mod tracks look hideous, just makes me feel like I'm going back to the rfactor 1/GTR days.

Sadly its not surprising as the only modded tracks in the history of sim racing which actually looked pro were the virtual lm ones.

I agree, it always the case with mods that 90% of them are pretty junk. But the few good ones make up for it I guess. Top Gear loos good imho, it is misisng 3d grass, but apart from that it's pretty good.

Donnington is another one

There are more I'm sure , but I spend my time in AC career atm, so not I'm not too clued up on them

Turn reflections down to static.

Thanks - I'm already using static reflections as using Oculus Rift DK2. Its annoying as it works fantastic with ~10 cars then upping it the fps dips to ~60-70 causing juddering as rift needs 75fps (actually 150fps) to be smooth.

However displaying GPU usage only half of each card is being used. annoying

Donnington is ok I guess but it's a miles off the quality of iracings version or the officially licensed tracks in AC

I'll check out the top gear track

Must say when I first got this 6 or so (probably more) months ago I didn't think much of it. But I've been playing the scooby nurburgring for the past few days and I'm loving it now. Really good fun.

Got Brands hatch from racedepartment yesterday and its awesome fun! Not sure how close it is to the real track in terms of accuracy but either way its great! Also got Donnington and Cadwell park. Donnington is a good track but unfortunately Cadwell is quite badly made. Anyone know if there is a Oulton park knocking around?
