Assetto Corsa

It's shiny :D I need to upgrade my pc for more fps though!

Same here, have to kill off the process when I come out the game.

Tried firing up a race with a custom car and it kept crashing. This was with the 288GTO posted the other day here.

Since this was such a big update, it was widely accepted that many of the mods would cause issues in 1.1

To make mod cars work open aero.ini file of the car in (AC/content/cars/) and delete [DATA] section in aero.ini that is now obsolete. Change HEADER= whatever to HEADER=2.

This made Lambo Miura, Mazda 787, Honda NSX and Honda Civic work (possibly others, but I don't have many car mods - only the best ;)) but! Cobra (road version, not the official 427), 288GTO and Berlinetta still do not work for some reason.

Had a right blonde moment last night. Downloaded & installed the Dream Pack, loaded up the Nismo GTR & Tourism Nordschleife...and the steering and pedals on my G27 had massive lag. It would register movements and accelerator/brake but the lag would make it impossible to drive.

Closed the game, verified the game cache, deleted and re-added wheel preset. Tearing my hair out thinking I've got to re-install the game :( not going well at all. I went to the AC forum and checked technical FAQ's with a view to the best way to re-install.

One point was to make sure the wheel/pedals are not plugged into a USB3 port....where were they plugged in? You guessed it :o

The Nordschleife is incredible to drive on; only tried the Nismo GTR and F1 GTR so far but it's bloody brilliant. Can't wait to spank this some more tonight.

Does that apply to just G27 wheels or all wheels should be connected to USB 2 only?

I'm not sure to be honest; this is from one the stickies on their support forum:

- if you miss the resolution menu in the video options, try to opt in of beta Steam client, let Steam downloads the new client, then opt out again
- Rename your "Assetto Corsa" folder located inside "My Documents" Windows folder;
- Remove any python addon apps you've installed;
- Run a Steam cache integrity check for Assetto Corsa;
- Launch the game and reconfigure all the options from scratch.

Usually, this fixes the most common issues users are facing.
In some scenarios, unsupported or misconfigured 3rd party software could be the causes. Try the following:

- Check that your controller is plugged in a USB2 port (don't use USB3)
- Update/reinstall graphics card drivers and directX software
- Update VS Runtime: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784
- Update/reinstall Microsoft .NET: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42642
- Close any video overlay sofware (VirtuMVP, Fraps, XFire, MSI Afterburner, Rivatuner and similar);
- Double check CPU and GPU temperatures.
- Check Windows user's privileges (set Steam and Assetto Corsa with admin rights)
- Temporarily shut down any antivirus or firewall (or allow acs.exe and assettocorsa.exe files);

It doesn't mention specifics so I can only assume that's a blanket approach to all controllers/peripherals.

Thanks.

I had a quick go yesterday and the steering felt heavy on my T500, as well a felling of the wheel trying to centre itself all the time.

I'll check tonight to see if it's connected in a USB 3 port.

Is anyone having problems with shadow play? When I press Alt F9 it records, but when I press it again to stop the game crashes. Additionally the video cannot be played as it says "cannot render file". So is this a GFE issue? I'm on version 2.4.0.9.

Whilst recording my Memory Usage was 2009MB and I got 60FPS. The smoke and static reflections issue has now gone (about time) :)

Graphical Options I selected

System Specs
i5 3570K 4.7Ghz | SLI GTX 670 1200Ghz | 8Gb Samsung Green | 2TB Hitatchi Deskstar | Asus Sabertooth Z77 | Windows 8.1

I was going to upload gameplay using MSI AB's overlay to show GPU Usage, Framerate, Frametime, Mem Usage etc but the video just wasn't playing ball unfortunately :( But performance wise it's much better than v1.0.

Another annoying issue is that you still cannot control the in game menu using your gamepad so for some users this will continue to be an annoyance.

How are you managing to hit 120fps with those graphical settings if I have it set like you I struggle to maintain 45fps let alone 120fps.

If I was you I'd be quite before Kunos ask for the 80fps you owe them :p

*I have a much better GPU than you and basically same CPU*

Thankyou! Just had an awesome race around Silverstone with a field of Sauber's and 787's :cool:
