Assetto Corsa

So it seems the over exposure on HDR since 1.1 is only for people with SLI/Crossfire. I don't get it when I a run a single card. Managed to fix it by downloading some custom PP presets though.

I do get overexposure with mod cars, but official cars-tracks are ok (sinlge card here, HDR on). S1 Evolution pp preset is my favourite, it lightens up shadows without blowing highlights.

Not tried Alfa 155 either :D Yellow bird is incredibly fun there though. Particularly with street 90's tyres and track surface set to old or dusty - feels like being in the famous youtube video.

Any tips on getting my steering wheel set up for drifting? (Logitech Driving Force GT)?

I've just had a day drifting in real life, managed to get half decent by the end of the day. Came back to AC to try it and it just isn't working.

In real life, i'm kicking the back end out, letting the steering wheel slip through my hands so opposite lock is applied, then tweaking the steering inputs / power.

In AC with this steering wheel, when I let go of the wheel, it doesn't seem to apply either enough opposite lock, or what I think is actually happening is that it's not applied quickly enough because of the speed of the wheel motors.

Any idea if i can get this to work, or do I need a better wheel for it to be more realistic?

Sure i could help the wheel and ram oppo lock on myself but I'd like to keep it realistic.

Been downloading a LOT of mods. Using the aero.ini fix, most cars old and new now work perfectly on 1.1

Been blasting a Dodge Daytona Hemi on Transfagarasan Hill Climb. Those corners are brutal.

Edit: Aero.ini fix as follows

In content/cars/xxxx/aero.ini (if DATA section shows)

- [DATA] section in aero.ini is now obsolete and must be eliminated. HEADER=2 is mandatory if damage is used.

What pp preset do you guys use in this? None of them look that accurate and great to me colour wise. I downloaded the modded ones and they greatly improve the look but still are a little off when your trying to get them looking as close to real life as possible.

Also are any of you using a 34 ultrawide screen and if so what FOV are you rocking? Im currently using 44.

Wow this game is epic just been bombing it around Nordschleife in a Alfa Romeo155 Ti V6 ‘93 and its sounds awesome:D

This game runs so fantastic now even with 24 cars on the track and it works really well with my xbone pad so it must be even better with a wheel

So glad i stuck with this game from the beginning.

This is becoming my go-to game at the moment. Doing online matches with true damage, tyre and fuel is really quite fun. I ran a race yesterday with massive flat spots on my tyres.

I wish they would implement the weather options in MP though :(

Yeah this game seems to be getting most of my time and has for a long time. Especially now that Nords is there and we have 10 great new cars. Funny thing is that I rarely even race online too I mostly just hot lap around tracks by myself and try to beat my record lol. Cant believe I get so much enjoyment out of that.

The Natural Graphics Mod is a pretty good pp filter, although it just crahses here when I enable the SweetFX part ( which it can run without ).

Other than that I normally use S1 Sport.

Yeah a custom filter is needed to fix the visuals after the update which left it looking bleached out and ugly.

I've had a few very good online races on Nords Endurance but I mostly stay away from mp because it's still very rough around the edges. The ai is also still cack so I spend most of my time driving Nords in the F1 GTR or RUF yellowbird, good times.

If anyone has the URD-EGT pack and is looking for a friendly group, we're starting a 6 week series as of next weekend in the 'Darche' after concluding the Ginetta's tonight. [Link in sig] *Only 5 places left and all levels are welcome*
There's always other stuff going on if that particular car isn't your cuppa :)

Anyway, that's just an excuse to post a pic of the livery I made for it yesterday :p

Having driven over 100 laps at the ring in real life I have to say the AC reproduction is excellent. Spent a few hours on it this afternoon.

Also plugged in the above lighting mod which certainly softens the default overly bright filter.
