Yeah, their site leaves a lot to be desired... I had exactly the same complaint about it not being clear on what exactly you're paying for.

Fwiw, I can vouch for the EGT (GT3/2 I think) and T5 packs (DTM). The only issue with the EGT's are that they're not particularly balanced, but they're awesome on their own.

Here's a list of what you get in each pack (If you want pics of any of them, let me know):

Venom: Dodge Viper
Ferruccio: Ferrari

The Formula Lights come free with any of the packs I believe.

I forgot about this car since GT5 and URD have made a quality job of it. The full power version is still ridiculous nonsense, but very good for a laugh. I take it round the Nordschleife for giggles.
The 600bhp version is a lot more believable (as fantasy cars go) and loads of fun.

Glad you're enjoying the wheel :) I take it you didn't end up with the Integral pack?

Edit, I have a bit of a problem as well, when the race is loading the screen goes off centre and I have to alt+enter to get it to centre again. I also downloaded some cars and they are all there but I now have a badge saying 'unknown' with nothing in it. All cars are there though.

Yeah, it sounds like a practice session tbh.

Is the game set to run fullscreen, are your resolution settings correct, are you using DSR/VSR and/or do you have more than one monitor that you switch between for gaming/desktop?

Could you post a pic of your assettocorsa>content>cars folder and maybe your in-game car selection screen showing the issue?

Thanks for the info! Very helpful :) Will be sure to try out the Redbull X2010 soon. It looks bonkers.

Amazon dropped the price of the T300 RS to £201.99 just after Xmas, and since I had £115 worth of vouchers and I got £30 for my DFGT, it only cost me £57 to upgrade. The Integral package isn't sold at Amazon UK so I couldn't use my vouchers, and I have convinced myself that I need Fanatec pedals for no good reason at all :)
 
Had a bit of fun messing about doing engine/drivetrain swaps in cars. Gave an NSX more power, a new set of gear ratios and the option for more tyres, it's an absolute beast now :D

Also tried making a a slightly more powerful mx5 with better tyres, that just ended up rolling over though :o
 

Any idea on my unknown badge issue Petey? Seems you know your stuff about this game :)



Edit - I think I found the issue with the loading screen, something to do with cloned monitors I think!

Yeah, that's what is confusing me. The vehicles are all in the right sections :S

I'll try deleting the lot and verifying it again, cheers mate

Sorry, I misread it and was under the impression that the cars you got were in the unknown marquee bit.
I can see that the Shelby badge is there and the c6r must be in the right place too.

I dunno mate. Have a look in the content>cars folder and see if there's anything that looks out of place.
 
No problem mate. I've just deleted all the cars and its verifying now so we will see if that fixes it. Is there much point in buying dlc when you can just download the tracks and vehicles using mods?

Update - deleted all the cars, re-downloaded them and still got the unknown box on the badges :(

DLC is very much worth it if you like the look of what's in there and/or want to race others online that have that content.

Laser scanned Nordschleife, Catalunya and Brands Hatch do anything for you for example? There are mod versions of these that'll keep you entertained if you're not that bothered.
 
The other thing to bear in mind is that every new Dream Pack is discounted by 20% for the first week of release, so if you think that you will buy it anyway, it's worth doing it on release.
 
I think maybe I'll grab it after payday, still need to pre-order the division! Redownloading the entire client again because that unknown box was annoying me. No racing tonight! :rolleyes:
 
Re downloaded the entire game after uninstalling, still there! Any ideas chaps?

In case anybody else gets the issue, here is the fix:

I had a problem with an "Unknown" icon on the car Brand Select menu. I think this was caused by the "ks_lamborghini_countach_s1" car folder missing a "ui" folder. I do not yet own DLC #2, so all the other DLC 2 cars are shown as previews (dlc_preview.png, dlc_ui_car.json). However, even after verifying the game cache, the Countach S1 folder is empty.

I seem to have solved the problem by copying over the contents of the base "ks_lamborghini_countach\ui" folder to the empty S1 folder. Now, the Unknown broken icon no longer shows on the car Brand Select menu.

Go into each addon car directory you have downloaded and check that there is a logo.png file in it's root folder. This is the logo image that will appear on the menu.
 
There is no logo.png in the Corvette from what I can see, I just downloaded the file and checked what was in the folder. Looks like you'll have to create your own Corvette logo.png file.
 
Yeah, got it sorted Gixxer. It was s_lamborghini_countach_s1 after I re-inatalled but you're probably right in saying that the original fault was caused by the corvette.

I was messing around on a server last night and tried a few laps of the ring in a BMW 1M stg3 which has an adjustable turbo. This car has a small glitch for me and I'm wondering if everyone elses is the same?

If I set the turbo to 80% all is OK. Set it to 90% or 100% and whatever RPM I am at it is damaging the engine. Pretty sure it shouldn't be like this? I guess the re-mappers must have loaded a bad map to the ECU :D
 
Think that is expected. From memory the Lotus Turbo F1 car (can't recall the name) does exactly the same thing on high boost. It's designed so that you can only really do qually laps like it not entire races! (realistic to how it used to be in the F1)
