Assetto Corsa

Forgotten just how good this game is with a decent wheel setup. :D
Ordered a wheelstand pro to go with the G27,then it's time to hit the downloads.
 
My car & track list grew substantially over the weekend :D

Just a quick one, Got my G27 & trackstand set up so thought I'd download a few cars & tracks
Downloaded cars are working fine but can't get tracks to work.

For example, downloaded Lake Louise, unzipped it & copied all the files to tracks in Assetto Corsa folder. Game sees it & offers it in the options, but then says cannot find it.

Any ideas?

Yep I have all the files in a folder called lake louise & that folder is in ther tracks folder within Assetto corsa

Version is Beta 1.6, which is the lastest i could find

Sorted, redownloaded it & its working fine now.

Hey,

I've just downloaded this, seems quite good other than having to use mouse and keyboard for the menus which is frustrating.

I was just wondering, do the mods work online and is there like a mod manager tool? I had a look for some online games but the race never seemed to start, it just spawned me mid race, no starting grid or anything. I'm a bit confused by it to be honest,.might just be me being tired though.

Also, is there a list of good mods to install?

I've not used it.

Mods work online if whoever has created the server has included a particular mod in their server config. Short answer: Yes.
If you see cars/tracks that are written in red, it means that you don't have that content.

Don't know what's going on with your online thing.
Before you join the server, it should show you the relevant information regarding whether the session is in practice, qualifying or race.
Are you sure you're not joining a race that's already in progress, or a practice session?

There are plenty of good mods mate. Have a look through the links posted by myself and Borsch further up the page.
The ones on Race Department do have a lot of feedback to give you a good idea of what's decent or not if that helps.
Other than that, just try whatever piques your interest and delete it if you don't like it :)


On another note, has anyone tried the URD PX1+2 LMP cars yet?
They're excellent!
Yes, they are paid mods, but these guys make very high quality stuff - including making cars on behalf of Kunos for official DLC.

Hadn't heard about this, but definitely keen to try it! Unfortunately the United Racing Design website is a bit crap and doesn't provide a lot of details about what you get.

Had some good fun last night racing a friend on his private server around Brands Hatch in various cars. Was the first time that I really got to try out my T300 RS which is just so much better than my old Driving Force GT. Apart from the pedals, I absolutely love it!

Next on the list to get is:

Wheel Stand Pro Deluxe V2
Fanatec Clubsport V3 pedals
iRacing ;)
 
Thanks for that uncle petrey. I'll have another look tonight, I was pretty tired last night so I was probably joining practice races...

Edit, I have a bit of a problem as well, when the race is loading the screen goes off centre and I have to alt+enter to get it to centre again. I also downloaded some cars and they are all there but I now have a badge saying 'unknown' with nothing in it. All cars are there though.
