Some very nice additional content there and don't mind the dlc in cases like this. It's a lot different than pay-to-win or nerfed from the start type 'dlc' and they are generally not horribly priced. If it extends the development and expands the AC world it's all good :).

Have I missed something?

Running effectively 7950 crossfire and get less than half the frame-rate with it enabled. I've made sure all apps are off and done direct comparisons with various graphics settings and getting roughly the same results.

Also tried without any crossfire profile, AFR on and also using BFBC2 profile as suggested on other forums.

I haven't played for a while but was contemplating getting the Dream Pack 3 and wanted to make sure it was all working OK before purchasing.

It's not a biggy, as I get about 70-100fps with a single card with decent settings but would be good to utilise my second card if I can... :confused:
 
You're SOL on that, I'm afraid.
Using that BFBC2 profile only gets you proper usage and corresponding FPS increase when you're hotlapping by yourself.
Add AI, online opposition or certain apps and you get what you've found.

I had 7970 xfire / 290 trifire and that was the case for me too.

Like you say, it runs well enough at decent settings with a single 79xx, so I'd just be happy enough that you can do that for now :)

I've run into some sound issues with this game.

On numerous cars there is no engine noise, making it extremely awkward drive as you constantly have to look at the dash to see your revs.

I've read on the net that I should delete the sound files and verify the data using steam.

I don't know which files contain the game data but reinstalling the game has made no difference and neither has verifying through steam.

Can anyone offer any advice on getting this fixed?
 
Have you installed any sound packs in the past, like Fonesecker's for example?

Perhaps try deleting the car folder in steam>steamapps>common>assettocorsa>content and then verifying install.

That worked for me when I had a similar problem.
 
I solved my missing sound issue just the other day using this video, tried doing it a few ways but this just randomly seemed to fix it, might be worth a look. There is a link attached in the description with the SFX folder as a zip file.

Might also be rebooting a Formula 3 mini championship.
