Assetto Corsa

If you scroll down in the options, you'll see one labelled 'effects on some onscreen widgets'. Check warning on delta time improvement and you'll get a highlight box around your delta widget when you're up on your time.

Same for low fuel warning as you'll see. Just set when you want the warning flash for that one.

I re calibrated my wheel, and was still really bad, verified the files and re calibrated and I managed to get a 2nd and a 5th so just need some more practice time now :)

Also I know this might sound a bit silly but sometimes wearing a pair of trainers can help with the pedals..

Its odd, I know. But it does make it feel a little more natural, afterall, we wear shoes etc whilst driving a real car.

I know it sounds silly but there you go - give it a go.

:) Just don't go off the track too often, or you'll want to punch him eventually :D

Here's a short sample vid of some action between me and one of our other racers in last night's multi-class endurance race.
Not even highlights really, just a brief section.

GT3's are sooooo boring :p  :D

Great video. IMO, GT3 class is the perfect blend of beautiful fast cars, close racing, but not blink and you'll miss it like LMP1 or F1.

Is that an open series, or invitation? Looks fun, i wished iRacing went with their LMP1 and GT3s for an actual enduro series, rather than shoving the occasional enduro into GT3 and the other series being a right mix of cars where most of the time half the grid were LMP1 and the rest were 1-3 of the rest, if any. Might have changed now for all i know.

It occurred to me a few hrs ago its almost 2yrs since i did any sim racing and ive been binging on the Blancpain (GT3) series lately, and was watching last years 24h Spa (2016's is next weekend) and realised that would have coincided with the last time i really did anything sim related (2.4h Spa in iRacing). Would be cool to try and get back into it, without the $80/yr costs associated with it etc, but im not touching pick-up online races and annoyingly that was the main thing iR offered - racing whenever you wanted it.

Great video. I agree, that GT3 is a nice class to race. I may not be at the front, but I can usually find some drivers to have some good battles with, and we have a good selection of different cars now.

All are welcome to join. The more the merrier :)
All our current series info can be found here

If none of that floats anyone's boat, then you're welcome to post in the Racing Club section and propose your own one-off event and see if it gets any interest.
Who knows, it could even lead to a more regular fixture if it proves popular.

It's not all GT3/F1 action. We've had some quality nights racing old cars/road cars etc.

Trento-Bondone, I believe.
Never drive it myself, but I imagine it's more up your street what with the whole single track thing.

Speaking of which, if you weren't aware of these guys and their tracks, prepare your most absorbent underwear: http://actraxx.blogspot.co.uk/p/sim-traxx-assetto-corsa-tracks-download.html
And try some of these to go with them: http://rgnnr8.wix.com/modbase#!rally/vv6hp

Some are better than others, and I recommend the Polo from a brief drive a while back.

This rallycross track is decent too http://www.racedepartment.com/downl...-2-0-new-rx-track-kouvola-by-ultranew_b.8302/ The DS3 isn't though.

Had the best night hotlapping ever. It's been quite some time a racing game has made me genuinely smile whilst racing. Now I've spent a good week or so learning the handling a bit, decided to start racing the faster cars on "pro" setting but with TC off. Wow, goodness me what an incredible experience. The connection between myself and the car is incredible, the steering and pedals feel so alive, lap times are massively quicker now as well and I'm able to beat AI quite convincingly at 95% which previously with TC set to factory I couldn't beat them at 95% at all.

I can't wait to get home from work tomorrow.

What's some of your names so I can add in Steam and RSR?

I had no idea what RSR was till I looked it up.. I'll have to grab that, see how well, or poorly I am doing

I can just about beat the AI at 90% but anymore and I struggle truth told, I'm not the quickest..

I've just picked up a new wheel, replaced my age old second hand Logitech DFGT with a newer model, a Logitech G29. And since doing that my laptimes have plummeted. I can't seem to get the degrees of rotation correct ?

I have it set to 900 in the profile, and 900 in game, but track like Monza for example the first corner and the steering is really hard for to turn the car in, I'm having to turn the wheel way to far for my liking..

Anyhow, sure I'll get the new wheel settled in. I also need to really get a stand as well .. Man its all cost lol
