Assetto Corsa

sorely tempted, but just wondering if itll come up at a better discount later in the sale, though since it is this games first steam sale, possibly not

There's always a risk but I think it unlikely. No harm in waiting though I guess. If you like racing sims, there's an extremely high chance that you'll love AC.

Wow...you're right. There were only a couple of cars from memory, but it felt so right. Hovering over buying one of those wheels too, if I'm on Santa's naughty list.

I'm finding rumblings of a 599XX and Z4 GT3 coming to us in the 0.4 update, along with Monza, so far...

Interesting hearing those comments, as i really enjoyed playing that game year ago too, I actually listed that game earlier in this thread of driving game I liked in the past and was the handling similar to Assetto Corsa.

My next question is will it play ok on my computer (Laptop)

Specs are:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (6.01.7601)
DirectX: 9.0c + 10 + 10.1 + 11
CPU name: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9000 @ 2.00GHz
CPU speed: 1995MHz
Memory: 4063MB
Screen size: 1600x900 (32bits)
Video card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650, 1024MB

even if I have to play in low settings, does it still look good?

the steam sale is tempting.

Tim

Got this on the steam sale yesterday.

I've been a massive car nut for years, owned skylines, scoobs, cosworths and a carrera turbo. Hammered forza and GT to death lol

This feels "real". The physics are spot on and handling is absolutely spot on. All I need is a wheel pedal combo and I'll end up a single man lol

Has anyone tried this with Oculous Rift? I'm not even into racing games/sims but this could be the one to do it...

I've been looking for a Forza type game on the PC and had been keeping my eye on this one. It was in the Steam sale and so I caved in.

Don't have a wheel though, so gamepad will need to be dug out :)

I would also like to know this, but I can't actually find anyway of obtaining pCars....

They have closed the memberships at the moment

Unfortunatly it's not possible to join Project CARS at the moment, the membership may reopen in the near future but until then there is no other way to do so.
We appreciate all the enthusiasm everyone has shown so far and we know you are all anxious to try this beautiful game and once we know the full details of how and when it will be possible, we will be sure to warn everyone through the official channels:
