Assetto Corsa

Managed a 7:35 around Nord in the Cayman GT4, but didn't bother with screenshot as it was an invalid lap due to clipping a wall :( Not that I think I have a chance to beat some of the other times listed on the last page without huge setup changes!
 
I slammed a wall at one point, but as the run off wasn't too wide and I stayed enough on the tarmac, it didn't invalidate the lap.

Shifter is a must imho as there are a lot of manual cars (both classics and modern) in the game and driving them while revmatching and heel-toe-ing is hugely fun. Drifting is anther thing that is pretty awkward to do with the paddles as you never know which of them is downshift when the wheel is upside down.

hmm g25 probably worth 80-120 ? second hand (with all the bits)

so use that as a guage. id favour something with more buttons on wheel if I could. I have a g25, and my dad has a t500 with fancy alcantara wheel, and the buttons are nice to have.
 
I wouldn't touch a used g25. The newest ones are a few years old now and are asking to go wrong

G27 minimum IMO
 
Just got banned from an online server cause i was driving a sls merc,
didnt hit any1/thing
only bad thing was i was having a whale of a time

also sls drives like a porche, soo much fun

I bought a G29 new in the end as people I was messaging about setups was lik drawing blood out of a stone! Any recommendations for an Obutto or similar? I haven't got much room at all to play with so no triple monitor setups I dont think..
 
My advice would be to skip expensive monitor stands altogether as VR is no joke and most (80%?) of people I know who do have triple monitors sell them once they drive in Oculus for a few days. Obviously next year, with new VR sets etc this will converge to 90% +. Go single monitor and save up for VR :)
 
Thats the goal hence why I just want to use what I got for now, I still need a monitor stand so I can use it as a PC and play FPS Still...

What is it with people online racing. So many d***s blocking and stuff and ramming you cause you went past? wtf is that all about.
Just had my minorating knocked down to a C because I was going past someone on a straight and he decided 'no your not' and pushed me onto the grass. I guess I tried to counteract first and it thought I hit gim.
Makes it really annoying, just want a nice fair online race.
