if it works and is supported by the game i see no real point. you wont be much faster.

I'm no faster using the rift than when I was using a single monitor, it's so much more immersive though it's worth the cost.

As others have said, it's about immersion. If I could drive faster with a gamepad I still wouldn't.

I've just upgraded to 3 27 inch monitors and one thing I'm impressed with is how easy it was to set up with AC and with minimal effect on my frame rate. I realize VR is here and the immersion levels are better but I'm loving how sucked in I get. Had it all set up last night and was still test driving till 2am without realizing it.

Same set up with me. If I'm going for a marathon session, I'll pull all my screens as far forward as possible too. Helps with the immersion

Just thought I'd share some news with those of you who are interested in AC.

I don't know whether this is going to be a good thing or a bad thing but Kunoz Simulazioni have been bought out by Digital Bros...what does this now mean for the future of this impressive title

Nice looking track! But the Audi sounds like an alien machine when you use the F3 camera and it's far away. Does make for soom good photomode!

yes sounds are pretty bad for it the tracks okay though. just wish assetto looked better.

That new track is nice, although the visuals are a bit bland considering it's set in the highlands, I was expecting it to be more dramatic like Black Cat Country. Lovely fast corners and huge straight makes it great fun for just driving

Yeh I'm tempted to see if I can find a car that actually takes off.... the Front end of the P1 likes to jump into the air a lot which seems like a physics bug rather than a characteristic I'd expect it to have...
Didn't the Miura have a known quirk of being light at the front, will try that

Why is there no sense of speed in this sim, compared to all the others ?

Can't say I've ever had that issue. Feels properly fast when driving twitchy cars, or narrow tracks, over bumps etc. There is just no crazy motion blur and other affects that changes your Fov when going fast.

I only drive cockpit view, i know thats the view that gives you less sense of speed, just seems slower than Project Cars and Raceroom, mind you, i had that problem with iRacing also, just dont seem like your driving fast, cant put my finger on it, still like the sim thou.

Depends a bit on the track - if you use i.e. a hot hatch on say Silverstone there isn't much sense of speed - stick a GT3 car around the ring and totally different story.

Biggest factor in speed sense for me is FOV. Even if it's just slightly wrong, it's all gone.
