Assetto Corsa

The biggest improvement of the newest patch is the AI. THey now go 4 abreast into fast turns if track allows, overtake on the outside, leave themselves vulnerable to criss-cross after some ballsy inside charge, overcommit, outbrake themselves, push each other onto the grass (without contact, F1 style)... etc etc etc:) AI's a whole lot of fun now. PLus we now have sliders for "variability" and aggression for the AI which mixes things up even more.
 
I don't care about race cars in the new DLC (street Maclaren 570 is very nice though) but still bought it as token of appreciation of the new AI. DOnt know about multiclass, but single class racing is awesome. I had a break form AC for about 3 months and returning to it is sweet.
 
Just been ramming the new Celica round Brans Indy.
There's a server hosting 24 boxes, started 20.. thrilling 15 lapper.

Id have bought the dlc for that car alone... Kunos have done a great job with it.
 
Sorry for the thread bump but thought it relevant, as the game & DLC are currently on sale!

I haven't played this in months, considering grabbing all of the DLC & reinstalling however; when I last played using an xbox controller, there was no support for the controller on the main menu, so had to keep shuffling between PC & sofa whenever I wanted to change track, start a new race, pause the game etc. I know this sounds incredibly lazy, but I did find it quite frustrating!

Is there a way to be able to use the controller in the menu yet? Would assume this was supported given the release on consoles now...

There still is no support for it on the main menu..shame on you for playing AC with a Xbox pad :p

Trust me, I'd LOVE to get my hands on a nice wheel & seat rig, however, I'm not sure the Fiancée would share my enthusiasm for this project, given the costs involved and the fact we're saving for a wedding :p

Shame to hear the lack of support still exists, I do have a wireless KB but it often goes missing (don't even ask) and batteries always seem to die at the worst times.

Appreciate the responses all the same.

Logitech wheels used to be good price, then another £100 for wheelstand pro, and a regular chair without castors. Not expensive
