There's been a couple of DFGT wheels for sale in the MM recently for those looking to make the first step from playing with a pad.
I really need to post more![]()
I play using both my g25 and 360 pad. The only issue I find with the 360 pad is the tight bends you just cant add the lock needed to make the bend without slowing to less than 30mph which is when the game will initiate full lock anything over that speed and you only get 60% of the lock...
The short club track have no idea of the name but with the formula abrath about about 5 seconds slower on the pad as i just cant get the lock needed for the bends..
On the wider tracks the pad isnt so bad as you dont quite need os much lock seeing as the tracks a lot wider and so are the apexes.
I've fiddled with Gamma Filter steering speed none of them seem to help.
I've bought the nixim brake mod for my g27. I've heard good things, so hopefully my lap times will drop.
Biggest difference is the shifter. The G25 can be used in manual and sequential modes. The G27 doesn't have this feature, it does have more buttons on the wheel and the shifter lights. Other than that they are identical really.
They are quite different inside, g25 has one motor and G27 has two.
G25 has two motors also. The DFGT has one.
The main internal difference of the G27 is the helical gears for the FFB, which supposedly reduce backlash and makes the FFB smoother and quieter.
The pedals are also more configurable.
