Assetto Corsa

Logitech Driving Force GT sitting in box next to me :D

And tomorrow got 3 screens coming for some surround fun:D (providing all goes well that is)

Here's hoping I have no issues. Can't wait to try this over 3 screens. And maybe even in 3D too :D

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

In case you can't tell, I'm quite excited! :D

Pity I got to work tomorrow though :(

*cough* *cough* might be coming down with something *cough* *cough*

:)

Been playing this game for just over a week now... Best racing sim in a long time. It just feels so nice and of course looks gorgeous. I do wish there was other cars to race against but at the moment im fine with just practising.
Just need a wheel now :D but i don't want to get a cheap one knowing ill want a better one later.
Apart from the Thrustmaster one and the G27 what other options is there for a top wheel?

My brother uses one of these.

I use the pedals with G25 and bro has the F1 wheel and pedals.

That must have been cheap xD

It's a worry when spending so much money on something and buyer's remorse looms large on the horizon. After spending about 20 hours or so with it, I'm very pleased with the purchase and don't regret it at all. I just need to build a new rig to accommodate it now. I also have the CSP V2's and Fanatec shifter on order as well. I do feel very fortunate to be getting this kit.

I've been waiting for a good, new sim for a while with my eye on this setup if one appeared. AC is delivering and is the primary reason for the outlay. The feeling of immersion with this kit combined with AC is utterly awesome.

Timings are now coming down a bit also, which is great ... not that I'm an alien when it comes to lap times.

Edit: I'll definitely be including Simvibe once support for that is in place (which appears to be on the cards).

Well, had a quick run once had my 3 screens set up. This is going to be lovely in surround. But boy running it over 3 monitors in 3d can hammer performance :D

Now just waiting on the power adapter for driving force go, and I'll post some pics :)

Wow, I'm certainly happy I did not buy the new £300 Thrustmaster TX wheel, just look at the reviews on US river site! "broke after 2 minutes", "burning smell after 10 minutes", "stopped working after one week", "cheap", "absolute joke", "no customer support", "junk"... 14 one star reviews out of the total of 30! Stay way clear!

Its a shame too as it has some new brushless motors that draw less power and put out less heat than t500's...

Would be great to see your setup mate, I have also just got my 3 screen setup running. Not really tested it with Assetto yet but might have a go tonight.

Get some pics up please :D

I am also really interested to know how you get on with three screens. Really want to go down that route, just a tad worried my 690 might struggle. What GPU are you using? Cheers.

I'm using one of these on my XBone and so far it's been fine and I'm really pleased with it; it's so much better than the Microsoft Force-feedback wheel I had before.
I certainly wouldn't class it as cheap junk.

Has anyone specified a car/track/driving aid setup so we can compare lap time?

If not I'd like to request Mugello with no driving aids... Anyone care to pick a car?

Its a shame you still cant get the project cars download. I would have love comparing it to this. The only thing lacking at the moment is content.

Here's one I took last night.

Hopefully can get some more tonight (With AC and the lights on :D ), but I do have a lot of stuff to do (including testing Driving Force GT wheel), so may be tomorrow when I have more time :)

Very nice mate, but yeah get your wheel setup, turn the lights on and run AC and get a pic taken :D

I would be game to test out my driving skills (not that they are any good lol), as for track and cars im not really bothered as I have not really specialized my practising yet.

I'm sure the new motors have good FF, but reliability wise your case is just a one off ;) Not everybody was one starring the TX, but still a huge 50%. Anyways, with good returns policy like ocuk etc I'm sure it's quite safe, but getting it from ebay... forget it :)
