Assetto Corsa

I thought the same about it being £30... But in the end thought "sod it, it's got an F40 and sim handling" plus it looked so pretty.
Definitely happy with my purchase, I've already had significantly more entertainment from this than a lot of other games I've bought over the past few years, plus also finding less flaws than some of these other retail games - I'm looking at you COD MW2 (terrible MP - lag+no dedicated servers), Batman Arkham City (won't even launch).

Definitely think it is worth the money!

Best purchase I've made in a while. It's a little light on content right now but everything it does have is more or less complete and of great quality. Physics, visuals, sound and UI are all excellent but will continue to be tweaked and improved.

Graphics are really stunning for a sim, much better than PCARS imo simply because it runs smoothly and looks more natural and crisp. I can run 12 car race without a single frame drop in AC but pCARS is still jaggy, buffering and stuttery after over 2 years of testing.

you probably understand it's not about the money but the principle of spending £30 on a very unfinished game. I got a g25 collecting dust so I'm very tempted by it.

I do understand and fully respect your reasons for not purchasing, hence the lack of 'hard sell'. If someone was on the fence about buying it, I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

I'm a little different as I love racing sims and see this as an opportunity to both enjoy the sim as it stands at the moment and also contribute to the development through feedback.

Have to say I was skeptical before I put down £30 for it, bearing in mind I'd never played a proper 'sim' prior to this - all I can say is it's been worth every penny!

Even before they added AI I was still hooked and it feels very well rounded considering it's an alpha; sure there could (and will be) more cars but I think I'd be happy enough with just the F40 right now!

Great sounding game too, can't wait to get my hands on a wheel and really get stuck into it.

If anyone is in the market for a new shifter, after having spent a few days with it, I can thoroughly recommend the Fanatec CSS SQ. Adjustable resistance and the ability to easily switch between H-Pattern and Sequential is great; AC just needs to support dual mapping of Shift Up/Down to prevent the need to load a separate controller profile.

Overall a stratospheric step up from the G25 shifter I had (which broke after many years of service). Pricey but awesome.

I could be in the market for one of these. I hate the faff of changing my TH8 shifter from sequential to manual. So much so that's it's permanently on manual now.

Totally agree. Ai races with the BMW feel like a right argy bargy touring car race - great fun. Less so with the gt's and open wheelers, but not a bad 1st attempt.

P4/5 and BMW gt2 for hotlapping. Need a wheel to control the f40 oversteer - can't wait to quit smoking for a month reward.

Catching F40 oversteer even with a wheel is bloody hard work. lol
Reckon I must be burning a tonne of calories trying to drive the tuned version around Mugello! The amount of lock the precision needed to catch the drifts in the F40 is a nightmare but so damn rewarding when you do get it right :D

I've just got the components (mini LFE and amp) for Simvibe along with the software. Just waiting for a cable to arrive and will then be ready to install. Anyone else have Simvibe set up? Any useful tips would be gratefully received.

I'll be adding more amps and transducers later.
