Astro Bot | OT |

1st attempt at speedrun was 50ish secs and unlocked the first new bot
2nd attempt was 40.949 and unlocked the second new bot.

The level itself is quite easy, but I'm already thinking how to get close the the top 10 which is 28 secs. I'll see how close I can get before I check youtube to see how others did it!

New speedrun level (2 of 5) will be released tomorrow afternoon. Annoyingly the PS5 is being sold on Friday so i'll barely get to play this one, and then will miss the next level, till I get a pro on 7th Nov. Bad planning :D

I've managed to get to 32.119 secs on the 1st one, and just don't have the skill (or patience) to get any lower, even after watching youtube videos of the fastest route!
If anyone else is gonna be hammering the speedrun levels, add my PSN ID: rp2000. I only have 2 other friends on the leaderboard and their times are quite rubbish :cry:

Your's is 35.666 and mine is actually 32.915 (slower than i quoted above!). And someone called Zhokel is 35.916

Shouldn't really have booted up the game as now i'm gonna waste at least 30 minutes on trying to improve my time!

Such a brilliant game. Especially the unique levels where you are Kratos from God of war or Nathan Drake from uncharted. It’s one of the most creative games I’ve played for sometime. Sadly, I don’t think I have much left to finish.
 
I'm waiting until all the levels are out before giving this a go. Not sure if I'll be able to post leaderboard times as I don't have ps+, but I still want to play them.
 
Currently doing the challenge levels. It’s been a while since I wanted to launch a controller at a wall.

I was on the final part of “To the beat” avoiding the birds and my girlfriend walks past the tv…

I’ve read online about “splashing spring” being difficult but I’ve found that to be one of the easier challenge levels.

I really didn’t think I was ever going to get past the final level. I kept dying at the midway point so never got a chance to get used to the final section, but I managed to fluke it with some lucky jumps.




So in total I’ve managed to get 24hours worth of playtime and I’ve got the platinum, 315 bots, 177 gachas. That’s it for now until they bring out some new content!

I've still got the final speed run level to do, that was released this week. After that, like you, I'm stuck waiting for more content. I think my play count is around 27 hours. Bar trying to get into the top 1000 times on each of the speedruns, there's not much more replayability.

So even though it's quite bad value for money compared to some other single player games, I would probably pay a tenner for more DLC levels. Maybe if they added 5 special levels or something.

Free xmas level. 7 new bots. The area only appears if you have completed the game I believe.

The level is Huge, Possibly the best level in the whole game.

Forgot to say, congrats to the team for the GoTY. Very much deserved. Such an amazing game. I was hoping it was going to win soundtrack goty too. :P
