What cables did you get? There is so little clearing below the ports that many cables don’t fit without strain. In my case strain on the connector results in random image corruption.Based on some of the comments in this thread, I ordered new cables (both DP and HDMI) and ditched the ones shipping with the display. Certified HDMI 2.1, reputable manufacturers. I started running the display with the "normal" settings, 4k 10bit 120Hz, but ran into the "blue vertical lines on grey" issue shortly after. I was disappointed of course and turned on the overclocking and 138Hz for the first time, just to see if it makes a difference. *knock on wood* I have not had any issues since with heavy / active use during the past days.
Very happy with the screen despite it requiring a little tuning. I have had similar experiences with other products as well.
I have my previous display next to the PG42UQ and I cannot understand how I managed to live with the horrible trailing/ghosting and grey blacks.
138 Hz is a feelable difference for me, even on the desktop. Yay, I also was shocked when I used an IPS screen again…
