ASUS 42" ROG Swift PG42UQ

Я на нем, и на частотах 138 Гц он перешел в режим ожидания и не просыпается без отключения питания, поэтому снова увеличил его до 120 Гц и вручную переключил 138 Гц для игр.
Do you have DP or HDMI connected?

I have V033 and have no problems with waking the monitor in 138hz hdmi 2.1 btw
Also this is very interesting for those who play in hdr on windows 11, adjusting the auto hdr intensity.
Also in nvidia setings i've turned the contrast to 80 and digital vibrance to 60, it looks really good, dunno how it's accurate, but it's nice.

I bought the Asus pg42uq monitor. I'm still on the original v23 version that was preset when I bought the monitor. Considering the problems that people have when they update, I have doubts whether to update to the new v33 version or not. I use the monitor about two days a week when I work from home and basically every day to play games on ps5.
For work on the computer, I notice that the screen is quite dark, especially as far as the white color is concerned. This bothers me a little, but again not so much, since I only work from home two to three days a week. However, I would still be happy if it could somehow be adjusted to make it a little brighter overall.
As for playing games on ps5, I can only say that it is excellent. I don't have the monitor overclocked because 120hz is the maximum I can play on ps5. In addition to the poor brightness in windows, I am also bothered by the very poor responsiveness of the remote controller, where it seems to me that everything is laggy more than anything.
I'm also a little afraid to update, considering that a lot of people say that after updating to v31, they have problems where they appear as burn ins signs in the picture. Even if I look at the details of what the new update is supposed to fix, Asus does not write specifically what is fixed.
Does anyone here know anything more about this? I checked quite a few forums and as far as I can see, this forum here actually has the most concrete information.

Disable the Screen saver in the menu, it automatically darkens the static image

I done this first on setup, also turning ABL off and setting brightness on 90+ is litte bit dimm for me. Do not now if its even good for oled to set brightnes on 100. Its my first oled monitor/tv. Till now i used 32 inch LG 32UD99 as far as working on pc was the superior monitor but it was only 60hz monitor so I bought this Asus “monster“ ;). But as I said brightnes is not perfect for me. Picture wise in gaming this monitor is perfect not to mention 120hz in ps5 is game changer against 60hz that I played till now.

the question is should we upgrade to v33 ? or any other version is better ? v28, v31, and even v33 as i see all got updated on 28.november 2022. So what to pick? Heheh

I've had the v023 when i came and it was awfull (wonky hdr, very slow and those constant messages), the only version afaik peaople were complaining of bricking their monitors was v032, thus they pulled it out.
I'm using v033, that's the newest one.

V033 works fine here, maybe you should change your windows and apps to Dark Theme? V033 also seems brighter to me than the version I had before.

yehhaaa, those settings are really solid. I just tweak them a little bit to my liking, but overall they are perfect.

For those with a ps5 just turn off hdr in the ps5 settings and the brightness will be much brighter (for ps5 gamming i set the brightness to 90 and ABL OFF everything else is like Baddass suggested for pc gamming. For desktops use ABL ON and brightnes on 77 everything else is setting from Baddass)

Thats my best settings for me. Can’t say enough thanks Baddass.

Could you link the video please? :-)

BTW I have no image corruption problems anymore with my new Maxonar DP Cable plus firmware V033 at 138Hz/10 bit/full range!
