*** Asus ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 2048MB GDDR5 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI £235.99 inc VAT ***

X2 for less than the price of a 285 is a steal tbh.

And almost £150 cheaper than the lowest priced GTX295!

You are right I bet the die hard nvidia fanboys will try very hard to block this offer out their minds.

This shows the load power of a 4870x2 system to be 421.7W, so yes your 520W should be fine
Edit: just read it properly and this is just with GPU stress, in game this could go up by upto 100W (total system stress), so for me then that'd be no, a bit too close for comfort

done a test on corsair with PSU
my cpu
3 hardrives
4870x2
and it says a 520 would do it,only put 3 hardrives to cover the fans i have in,dont really want to get one if i have to go for another PSU

hi does anyone know how thick this card is? i know its 3 slot design but what are the actual dimensions! i checked the asus website and it doesnt give a figure for the thickness/height of the card!!! anyone have any answers???
looking at the picture above i would say you are wrong because from where im standing that card is taking up 3 slots!!!

Its 2 slots.

Any chance you could give us an idea of how long these'll be around for please Fatboy (at this price)? Presumably it's a batch you've got for this price or is it a permanent thing?

thanks
