Asus P5Q-E (P45) Motherboard Review

I oc my cpu and running my memory like this:

E8500 @ 4GHz (421x9,5), OCZ Reaper 2x2GB PC8500 @ 842MHz 5-5-5-15 1:1

My question is, can or should i go for more with my memory or is it ok?

My temp are:

CPU: 55-58 in load @ 1,280v (CPU-Z)
NB: 52-53 in load @ 1,26v (Results from my ir tempmeter) Temp ok?

Witch divider is the best? Bacause i can choice 1056MHz i bios but then the divider is 3:4.

Thanks

You've two options. You should be able to run the memory faster (probably upto atleast 1100mhz), or you can try tightening the timings to 4-4-4-10 at its current 842mhz. The former would probably be the best, tho it'll make little differerence which one of the two you choose.

Thx for the replay.

Ok, i will probebly go for faster mhz (1100mhz) :)
But to get there i have to lower my multiple to 8x500 if i want to stay at 4GHz, right?

But one last question, is my NB temp ok? After 3hour of crysis gameing i have 52-53 degrees Celsius.

Thank you one more time.

advice for getting my quad to 3.6ghz

Currently running my cpu at 3.4, ram is running a bit below its rated speed of 800mhz, my memory is running@377mhz ddr2 on proper timings of 4-4-4-15,2.02v cpu@9x377, fsb-nb strap 333, wondering if i want to get to 3.6ghz do i still use the 333mhz fsb strap. ive got a pretty good cooling setup. spec in sig. thanks for any tips and advice:)

The strap shouldn't really matter. It'll be fine to run it at 333mhz at 3.6ghz, providing it gives you a suitable divider for your memory.

What's your PLL, FSB Term and NB voltages at?

All chipset voltages set to +0.02v above auto. currently running p95, [email protected], 9x400, vcore in bios of 1.4125 (1.2750 vid) memory 1.1 ratio 801mhz,333 fsb strap, timings of 4-4-4-15 2.02v temps of 69-69-63-63 on the cpu.

Im running my OCZ Reaper PC8500 @ 2.2v (The lable say 2.2V)

I was reading that the P5Q-E overvolting everyting, so my question is. Is it ok to run the rams @ 2.2v or should i go for 2.1v?

Finally stable @3.6ghz

Finally got a chance to run p95 for an extended period, cpu at 3.6ghz (9x400)
Bios vcore, 1.4125v
Idle vcore , 1.400v
Load vcore, 1.416v
All chipset voltages +0.02v
Memory @800mhz 4-4-4-15 1.1 ratio 2.02v
Load temps, 68-68-62-62.

Quick question Guy's How sure are we now that the Delux is overvolting on auto and low settings with the newer bioses....I know the vcore still is ?

Good find. haven't been in that thread for ages.

Taken at 412x7 with a Q6600

The lowest setting seems to have been fixed, but Auto is still way off the mark. Memory voltage seems to have gotten a little worse tho.

I Think the Main point is with the later bioses we can use the lowest manual settings..as opposed to 2 up from the bottom so to speak ;)

I do have a problem with My XP partition not picking up USB flashdrives, not hardware related as vista and a clean XP sp3 install are OK. The problem is I have way to much stuff to go the clean install route, spent about 10 hours on the problem editing the registry etc, will unfortunatly have to let this one drop the crazy thing is it will pick up proper Usb harddrives

Anyone with any thoughts on that or simple migration process to a clean install for all My games, I would be very happy to hear about
