Asus Prime X370-Pro Owner's thread

so finally update the bios to the latest release and everything seems fine so far running memory at 3333 cas 14. on a benchmark even seems iv gained a chunk of memory performance even though im running it the same as i was before. now to see if i can nudge it up even more. the cpu is a ryzen 1700 and im letting the mobo do that auto clock up to 3.2ghz across all cores all the time.

Nice, which version did you go from > to ? I'm holding off upgrading as long as I can as my setup works but I know I will need to once the new Zen+ drops (as I'm upgrading).
 
0 something or other, basically everytime a new bios came out everyone moaned about the memory settings being worse. honestly just think people have crap memory kits and dont want to admit it now.
 
I have to admit I've never had an issue and always hit 3200Mhz DOCP with no issues with mine. Then again though I went for the 8Pack stuff that comes out the box guaranteed to work and also hounded him in the run up to buying it for assurances.

im running the same stuff, set it to 3200 docp for the settings then just upped the speed to 3333. no problems what so ever. i think a lot of people have corsair vengeance kits which seem to be very poor on ryzen.
 
It went well. Had to put in a load of settings again as if it was a fresh start, I've wound the OC back from 3.8 to 3.6 and left voltage on auto to see how it fairs up. RAM actually has a choice of speed settings now on DOCP which is nice, may be tempted to up the speed a bit more depending on what Zen+/2 whatever it is thinks to faster RAM now.

You are right, most using memory like the 8 pack 3200 Bdie based can run 3200c14 using docp and upping the divider to 3333 means 3333c14 works fine for 2 x 8gb. The Corsair memory is mainly Hynix based which is the problem.
 
Updated - spotted a new 3266 memory profile in the presets, and I'm also running my 3200MHz Trident Z at 3333MHz without problems which I couldn't do before.

Seems good.
 
Wonder if Agesa has updated? Asus typically state stability improvements. Can’t help but think so close to Ryzen+ release it’s gping to be aimed at that.

Bob Hope and no Hope ;)

When I had 2 x 3200c14 8 pack ram it was stable at 3466c15 , and while it would boot at 3600c15 put under any workload it would bomb out within 30 mins or normally less.

The IMC on Ryzen is not as mature or effective as Intel yet, even on a very good Ryzen Gen 1 CPU 3600 completely stable is very unlikely.
