Asus ROG Swift PG32UQX - 32" 4K, 144Hz, HDR-1400, G-Sync, 1152 Mini-LED zones

I’ve been hovering over the preorder button on this but that price is insane, I’m desperately looking for something that gives me close to an oled picture at this size and this looks to do that but over 3k and it doesn’t even have hdmi 2.1

I’m very conflicted! Does any one know if there’s any plans on any other mini led monitors in the works

There are loads but as always it will be a waiting game. There will be a few more out in 2022 and even more in 2023.

I reckon once we get a new gen Gync module that supports hdmi 2.1 and more panels with mini led, the price will drop.

But like others, I hate waiting. Been waiting 6 years already. Looks like maybe another three before I see screens that fit my needs for under £1500. And thats not small change!

ah, that one, ta. There's not been anything new for ages, which is worrying, and that includes the pricing. Decisions, decisions...

Can I ask @Gibbo @ScottiB if they can share any plans/knowledge re: PG32UQX please?

Could you elaborate on the issues please? I’m trying to find an excuse to keep my PG35VQ and not buy this. I agree, the price is silly, but they are selling out pretty fast.

Halo'ing not very well controlled on dark backgrounds, slow response appear to be people's gripes. YMMV

The size of the FALD and the awful blooming and painfully slow response times. Not something I could live with for £3300. For £1500 I would i have given it a go.

Also still no HDMI 2.1. Nvidia really need to get a new Gsync module out sharpish

Lovely! Exactly what i would go for but not at that money. Suspect it is a notch above my Predator 4K 32in stuck at 60hz, but I only paid £450 for it!

Thats quite the upgrade for you then. I was close to buying the PG32UQX also, but I honestly don’t think it will be worth the extra once I sold my PG35VQ, I would still have to stick around £2k. Until I see a comparison, I’m going to hold off.

I’ll be interested in your opinion of the monitor once you get yours.

Will do mate. I don't buy hardware very often, but when I do I make sure it's worth the upgrade! Now just waiting for the hardware gods to show me some favour :)
