Yip, users will have it set to 20 or even 0 brightness but this will all be for HDR no doubt and looking good on paper.
Do you know the small freeware all called Dimmer?

I be really interested in testing one of these against my FALD VA panel to see what the difference is like£3k for an LCD which still has a backlight be it lots of them and IPS so poor blacks and contrast ratio in 2021 no thanks, I would hold off on next big breakthrough or buy an smaller LG OLED TV?monitor when they appear (stuck at 48" for now).
But IPS would be a great panel if the terrible blacks and IPS glow was supportedEven it it could then you could use Mini LEDS on a VA and get even deeper blacks.
Madness.I see the asus US store has listed the price of this monitor
It be even more madness if does get released with only HDMI v2.0 at that priceMadness.

I think that would stop a lot of people from buying it knowing they won't be able to use a PS5 or new Xbox at 4K 120hz on itI think HDMI 2.0 may be a limitation of the Gsync Ultimate module which is already several years old. Nvidia should really update it.
What monitor are you using now ?Sounds like a perfect monitor if it wasn’t for that IPS... grr
Still my 24.5” 360hz ASUs ROG thing. What monitor are you using now ?
Looks great in most situations but I love horror games and DANG that IPS glow just completely ruins it and is really distracting.
Cheers mate will keep an eye out, sounds good! The upcoming 32" G7 4K monitor should interest you then, VA/HDR1000 and Samsung said to expect a reasonable price (am thinking 800ish personally)
