PC hardware/new consoles appear to be priced too low, allowing too many to afford them. Supply/demand is completely out of whack, GPU/CPU/Motherboard/Consoles launches are seemingly all showing there's a huge increase of demand. I imagine this is all the 'free' money the government has been throwing out to everyone (Furlough, self employed handouts, business loans etc) making everyone flush with cash and able to afford some (or all it seems) of the new toys.
Once we get deeper into the global depression, the free handouts of cash will have to stop and supply will keep up with demand. How I see it anyway. Covid has affected supply chains for sure, though in no way completely responsible for the huge demand for anything expensive.
