Expect the XG49VQ and XG32VQ to be available at the end of January 2019. Expect the XG438Q to be available in spring 2019.

The XG49VQ and XG32VQ are already listed here, so hopefully we'll see the XG438Q soon.

2080ti cant even run 100hz 3440x1440 displays why are we thinking about 4k 120 screens?

Plenty of games can exceed 60FPS at 4K with a 2080Ti. Granted, modern AAA titles won't be maxing it out, but the extra headroom will certainly be nice, and for older games plenty will exceed 100FPS.
