ati 5770 vs Leadtek GeForce 9800 GX2

okay, well im sorry for having my own opinion?
but i thought the 9800gx2 would go better with y pc, and play games at mid-high quality, for a little bit cheaper so...
i asked for help, but then i asked about dx and got shot down, for god sake, i used to play games on my ress with a 4650 on max at 30fps, im not looking for something that'll play the types of games im playing at like 300fps.
Anyway, the new release i want to play comes out in september, so by then i will probaly of upgraded my psu and bought a newer card to run x mode on the lucid chip, witch gives me dx11 support

its a farily well know fact youre eyes can only register about 60fps, so anything more than that on max is almost pointless

You were asking people for their opinion. Thats why you started this thread no?

They give you the facts and you question them?

If you have already decided then why post?

Getting the GX2 is foolish and the wrong thing to do. This is not my opinion.

This is fact.

no my freind that is youre opinion and atm im lookig into the 4870x2 seems the sam ish price, but quicker and less power hungry.
i kinda wanna get the gx2 just to prove that icute is not crap and can handle it

You are 14 and clearly know nothing. You cannot even spell properly.

You ask advice then ignore. And lol saying a 4870 x 2 is less power hungry. Have you actually seen one, or indeed checked the specs?

yes, it requires a 650w psu and recommends a 750watt psu, the leadtech gx2 wants a 700watt psu and suggests a 800w psu? happy now

Well you will struggle to run either with that crap psu so it makes no difference.

Why are you looking at getting old tech anyway? Seems totally retarded.

i dotn know, i just like the look and way its presented, the new tech from ati looks bland and nothing jumps out at me.

the psu is not crap :P have you ever owend one ? its rather heavy and thats usaly a quaility indicator, and ways almost as much as my xbox 360. when it blows up ill leanr to trust you , does that sound fair?

Aww thankyou for thr insult. RTM'd your post btw. :)

Basic point is, you have a really really poor PSU. Look around on the net as not one person out there has recommended getting on. Not one, well apart from you anyway.

Because of this, you should really be looking at cards with less of a power draw, to hopefully avoid your PSU going pop, and taking all your other bits with it. These things DO happen. The PSU is the most important part of your PC. You want that thing to run an overclocked quad / hex core processor and an old power hungry dual GPU? It is madness.

Ignore that advice at your peril. That is why everybody has recommended a 5770, 5830 or a 5850. New tech, less power draw, DX11. Win win situation.

I am out of this thread.

If I were you I would never buy a 9800GX2, I should know i've owned three of them, and only one will boot into windows at present. That is after lowering the clock speeds to around 550 core to get rid of some extra heat it produces. Really if you choose to ignore advice that is your decision.

Weight is not a sign of stability or performance or quality or anything except it is heavy. In fact it is probably the exact opposite, if a PSU is heavy it probably means they have had to cool it a lot more, which therefore means it produces more heat which means component life span is severely reduced...

Don't try running any performance GPU on that PSU, it will only end in tears, go for a newer generation, mid range GPU or upgrade the PSU to something that can do its job...

*edit* just read your banned, nevermind

Serves you right for not listening to anyone, come back, buy the GX2 and watch your beloved epeen go out the window when your icute takes your "super dual gpu card" with it .
