ati 5770 vs Leadtek GeForce 9800 GX2

Sorry but this guy is the biggest douche bag I ever seen on this forum.

He asks for opinions, and doesn't listen to any of them because he's already makes his own mind up anyway with stupid justifications for his shoddy purchases.

Also apart from the lack of spelling he also takes any opinion that doesn't fall in line with his own thoughts as an insult. Glad he's suspended, I'm fed up of finding his stupid threads which always end up the same.

PS I hope he buys a 9800 X2 and it blows up his PSU. He might learn a lesson if he does it the hard way.

Well he's 14, and being on a generally adult forum he's trying to appear adult, but it sort of over compensating, so he just ignores advice. He's showed is immaturity when he was talking about how AMD cards look puny, and he can't show off with them.

Yeah the AMD cards looking puny is quite laughable. Maybe he wants the biggest one to stick down his trousers, it certainly doesn't matter what it looks like when it's in your PC case. :p

Hahahahaha classic case pf penis envy
He wants a "big" graphics card...

Seriously kid. 9800 GX2 was basically dead before it was out the door. For a few months there were benches of it performing a little under a GTX 280 at a lower cost. Then suddenly problems surfaced. heat, unbearable microstutter, cards failing... the card just dropped off the planet. And I'm not talking recently. I'm talking GTX 280 era. they stopped selling/buying those way back then.

If you want to buy a product that was discontinued by the very company that built it because it sucked so bad, go ahead. Come back in 3 months with another 80 quid for your 5830 when that card fails.

If you're really hellbent on getting a big card get a GTX 275/285 second hand off some where

an extra £5 for a hd5830 will get you:
-a faster performing card
-single gpu (dual gpu cards rely heavily on drivers and games being coded properly)
-no microstutter for the reason mentioned above
-dx11
-much less power consumption (which im guessing your parents pay the bill for...)
-a much more reliable card

Frankly Zac, i thought i was trying to prod you in the right direction with your previsou threads, and i genuinely was interested in (and trying to defend) your dual xeon build, but if you really cant see past your stubbornness and look at all of these reasons and all of these people warning you from past experience that you're making a bad descision then god help you.

and this is before ive taken the PSU in to account...

Was discontinued because on paper it was competition to the GTX2xx cards and nVidia wanted to sell those not the older 9800GX2, later versions of the 9800GX2 didn't have the cooling issues the early versions had - which was also the cause of the "microstutter" rather than traditional multi GPU microstutter (not all parts of the card were cooled sufficently).

I still can't reccomend one tho over most of the possible alternatives.

Seriously dude, listen to these guys. I'm only 15 and I know when and when not to accept that you can't put everything down to experience and just listen to what other people have got to say and learn from it. Like you perhaps, I'm extremely budget conscious, and if I were you I'd always try to get the deal that is best and most worthwhile. Telling other people that that's their opinion when they offer you great suggestions and doing what you think is right but isn't; will screw up your budget in the long run. When I'm spending hundreds on a PC, I won't be taking that kind of risk. And I'm not saying this to insult you, but rather to help you, so please don't effectively tell me to get lost and that you have your own opinion.

lol. this kid has the same attitude as those consol3 nobs that think buying a 1080p tv makes the graphics better and refuse to listen to anyone

Why? That is extremely harsh, doesn't look like he broke any rules.

Unless he insulted someone and it got removed?

i think its because he does stuff, asks advice afterwards, then moans when its not the answers he wanted.
admitidly i havent read all his posts and from the ones i did read banning/suspending him does seem harsh, but he did have a bit of an attitude sometimes, but i think thats was just his personality and some people took it the wrong way.
im not defending him, im just saying, some people just have a defensive approach when using forums.

OMG is this the same guy who put thermal paste on the wrong side of his cpu and blamed ocuk for selling 'dangerous' paste? Sure sounds the same...:p:p:p.

This thread gives a bad name to all the 14 year old users on here. :(

The iCute PSU is apparently a CWT manufactured model, though only rated for 700W.

I think his profile sums him up :

What do you expect he is 14.
Seems a bit harsh getting a suspension though, some people have to learn the hard way it seems like he is one of them....

Yep, I missed an epic thread here :(

Round of applause to all the thread Contributors, you showed amazing patience in the face of futility. **waits for small puny ATI 5850's to come in stock** :D
