Hrm I'm wondering if this will cause GTX580 prices to drop. Don't like the look of any of these tbh - all reference HSF (and probably noisy?)
I'm sure it won't be long before versions with custom coolers are floating about though.
I thought £330 for a 5870 was expensive but this...
Remember when 5870 was 370, pound was about 2:1 to the dollar
Now its about 1.5:1
So
330 x 25% = 412.5 - £8 more for the cheapest 7 series.
So pretty spot on really, its the exchange rate IMO not AMD's pricing.
I didn't know AMD products could be so expensive. Isn't it going to be hideously inferior to what nvidia throw out anyway? Just a wild assumption based on AMD's track record, especially if processors are to be considered, loldozer.
A price that high will only make people wait to see what nvidia bring out.
Sales seem to say otherwise, early on sales on superb, like hotcakes.
I'm surprised these cards don't come with the backplate aswel! Those who are wanting are sleeker more cosmetic design will be crying over this!
Lol even the cheapest one is a rip off
Cheapest GTX 580 is currently £359.99, considering the performance increase of the 7970 I'd say £420 is pretty reasonable for the cheapest card.
