Attack on NI military base

So you're saying the Brits are behind it?

I think he is???
I'd like to point out were NOT yanks we dont shoot are own.
And what would the british gain from this?? the british army is over stretched so theyd gain little from using this as a reason to get more equipment.
Thier is no chance of a majority vote for independance of ni, so no need to scare monger.
And theirs no profit to be made as small scale groups like this make zero chance of the british goverment able to sell more arms like they did in the troubles

So you're saying the Brits are behind it?

No, as there is no proof as of yet. But if I was going to speculatively finger point, I'm more inclined to look at just what "intelligence" operations were supposed to be going on and seriously consider whether there was any British false flag to this incident.

Heard of the term "qui bono"? Its one of the first things Roman judges would consider when presented with a criminal case. You might notice that a lot of our law was actually based on the Roman republic. Why? These principles are timeless, they've worked for over two centuries. But we're being told that terrorism of the post 20th century kind suddenly changes that.

The worst of the anti-terror laws have been pushed through, but control orders are back up for debate. Anyway, I could sit here all night discussing motives, but as I said, I don't claim to have proof for these shootings.

Dude you're making the fatal mistake of trying to tell Norn Irish folk how it is in their own country.

Stories from your uncles won't cut it.

No im not im saying it was a tactic used plent of times. call in a bomb scar/ voilence, the cops would come or army wait for them to leave viechle then shoot them...
Youve got to rember the guys training the younger guys were around during the troubles and are gonna teach what they know best.

I agree with the tactic, but as yet the RIRA have no 'official' statement released so they have not declared a motive for any of these attacks, this means that no-one knows what they're doing, likely to do or anything, hence the deployment of the SRR, who most likely have never left.

And what exactly would Britain stand to gain from all this?

Are Iraq and Afganistan not keeping the army stretched enough? Are they yerning for the old times when successive governments seriously considered cutting all ties with us as they couldn't be bothered with the hassle any more.

Have you not stopped to think that they maybe they are on to the increased terrorist activity and need to monitor it more carefully, hence the increase in personnel?

We're well aware of that tactic. It was pretty much plan A in the IRA handbook.

Perhaps. But going on the laughable terrorist trials in the mainland in 2007 and 2008, I'm far from convinced. These guys are "bombers" but I'm meant to take seriously that they'd use hair gel and Lucozade for a terrorist attack?

So why are you having a go at me, the prevoius guy pointed out thatit was 2009? so i said it dosnt matter good tactics keep on living, then you came in with the whole telling ni people how the troubles were...
