I just googled this facelift, because I hadn't heard about it. I found this:

Have to be honest, I'm not seeing a lot of difference. There's a slight change to the intake thingies at the side of the grille, and they've added a spiky bit to the headlight outline.

The grille itself is wider and has a more angular feel. The rear lights are also more angular.

On in interior front, you can now spec the virtual cockpit too.

It's a facelift, there isn't meant to be massive changes.

Quad exhausts is now part of the 'S' design cadence so it won't be going anywhere quick.

Note the different trim around the diffuser at the rear

Also, diffuser fins seem more prominent, not sure if that's just the pic / lighting

A facelift is usually just minor tweaks to the front & rear bumpers/lights and interior highlights.

The quad exhaust are one of the few visual elements to distinguish the 'S' model from thousands of rep diesels on the road.

Also, 300bhp is enough power to have them there.

It's not even an "exhaust" per cylinder but a "tailpipe" per cylinder and it looks Barry, so very Barry to me.

There was nothing wrong with a single exhaust with twin tailpipes on the older S3 and keep twin exhaust's for cars with a V-Cylinder layout.
