Audi owners in here!

I'm just reviewing the options for third party bluetooth audio (for that matter any audio), any advice would be welcomed.

There are a few chavvy stickers which I might carefully remove and the windscreen actually appears to have been tinted, not sure how legal that is?
 
I'd imagine that any amount of aftermarket tinting on a windscreen would be illegal.

Adding anything infotainment wise will depend on what the car has as standard. There are plenty of options available, depending on how much functionality you want to add.

You can retrofit RNS E if you so desire, which is the same as available on the A3 up to 2011 or the MK1 R8.

It's a decent pedal car for my 1.5 year old nephew, was a tenner in the local rag, bargain :D

Wound my GF for ages telling her I'd bought another car, I did the grand reveal and her reaction after starting to scream at me was less than impressed ;) :D :D

is it really a simple case of plug and play? I've thought of installing this in my a3.

As for the comments above, I'd say that as long as they're well specced they're alright. It's a shame to see that most buyers don't prioritise spec as they do with the badge. Seeing these (old gen a3's/a4's) sitting comfortably in the £11- 15k price range without leather, parking sensors etc is quite shocking.

I still need to get some pictures of my C6 3.0 Quattro Le Mans up, but after a few months with the car I'm very much enjoying it.

Really nice to drive and a lot more enjoyable than my old Saab 9-3. Taken it once to Poland already and its effortless on the autobahn.

Need to source a VCDS cable to enable a few things which I'm surprised weren't turned on out of the box (reversing display etc).

Check your part number for your sensor control box. Not all of them are display capable.

You can get the following types:

4 sensors - basic.
8 sensors - basic.
4 sensors - graphical display.
8 sensors - graphical display.
8 sensors - graphical & camera display.
 
Thanks paradigm - I'll double check. It certainly has the MMI 3g high (i think thats what its called anyway :)).
 
Here's a quick list:

4F0 910 283 – 4 sensors, no graphics support
4F0 910 283 A – 8 sensors, no graphics support
4F0 910 283 B, D – 4 sensors, with graphics support
4F0 910 283 C – 8 sensors, with graphics support
4F0 910 283 F, L – 4 sensors, with graphics support, with camera support

Reversing display was only turned on if you had front and rear sensors IIRC. Certainly the case on mine, presumably so people don't drive into things when there's no reaction from the front of the car..

I think that's all I had coded, along with rear DRLS, oil temp (I use it all the time) and needle sweep because the dude said "it looked cool". Can't get auto-folding mirrors on lock on the C6, and my passenger mirror dipped when reversing already due to memory seats.

Not true, hence the availability of 4-sensor graphical variants of the control units.

Certainly was an option in the UK, according to the brochure I got with my A6.
 
Hi guys, looking for some info to see if it is possible to do and how much work is involved, last week I bought myself an Audi A4 Avant 2.0TFSI, here she is

You need the cage and aircon panel relocation parts out of a car that was specced with RNS-E, that way the car will take a double-din (with a fascia adapter and double din cage).
 
So I had my A3 in the dealer for a regas and they replaced the high pressure sensor and regassed the AC and it now works, however for the last two days it's stunk inside my car of what I can only assume is the gas used for the AC.

Is this a normal thing to smell for the first few days after a regas?
 
The system is sealed, you can't smell the gas by using the aircon. They might have run some kind of cleaning agent through it, but given it's age I doubt it would have needed it.
