Audi owners in here!

Don't suppose anyone here has a 15 MK3 TT? Mine has started to make a high pitched whine when accelerating from 4th -> 5th. Only ever in that gear, only around 1800-2000 revs as it's about to change up. It's also significantly worse after a lengthy journey, short trips it still makes the same noise every time but it's much less audible.

It's been into Audi under warranty who say that's 'normal noise'. I find that hard to believe considering it's only just started doing, it didn't do it for the first few weeks after I bought the car either. I asked them to take me out in the same model, to see if that made the same noise. They unsurprisingly politely declined.

Question is, if anyone else has the same model, does yours do it?

My old mans 57 plate passat did this not long before the clutch started giving problems. once we changed the clutch and flywheel the noise wasn't there

Had a 16 plate A6 Avant S-something 2.0 something 7 speeds something diesel for the day while my car was being serviced.

Looks ok if you like an Audi Estate but damn it was slow, had an iPad sticking out of the dash and was boring!

Nice boot space though.

Just my opinion :p

You need the 3 Ltr if you want speed. Better economy too;)

There are other tablets available.
Just saying...

Test drove an A4 Avant earlier that had the matrix headlights. Unfortunately it was dusk so perhaps they weren't as impressive as they could be, but you could definitely see them lighting up the hedges. I drove behind a van with my full beams on and he didn't seem perturbed. Not sure they're a "must have" for me on a second hand car, but I live within the M25 so they won't be as effective compared to someone that lives in the countryside.

Matrix headlamps are awesome if you drive on unlit roads. On friday I drove home in pretty appalling conditions and the headlamps were amazing in the way they turned on and off the led's to light up the road.

I bought a house and an A4 Avant today :) It has my perfect spec, and more. The heads up display works very well, and I can't wait to try the matrix LEDs.

Picking up a new A3 Sport 1.4 in tango red next Wednesday, I can't find anywhere if it's keyless entry and/or keyless start or not, could somebody enlighten me please?

I'm impatient so just grabbed the base spec Sport so I can pick it up next week, still not sure it's the right move but the cabin was just so nice.

Does anyone have experience with the 1.4 cylinder on demand?

Thanks for the help :)

It's a good engine. Smooth and quiet. Mine averages around 41 around town and shoots up on the motorway.

Decent little engine, nothing fast or fancy.

Doesn't look like somewhere I'd want to go spending £100k+

Ignoring the shouty advert, I'm more concerned by the locale of the vehicle, doesn't seem to add up, must be worth more than the houses
