Audi owners in here!

Well just had my first issue on my 2016 S5 after two years of ownership! Completely dead battery. The Last month i really havent been using it thanks to the endless lockdown but jumped in this morning and tried to start it and the dash had a low battery warning "battery will charge when driving" notice but the engine wouldn't start. Tried to start the car again and absolutley nothing after that! Not even central locking with the key. Have booked the AA to come out and replace the battery and I'm hoping thats all it is.

great start to 2021 :P

Does your AA cover give you a free battery replacement?

@naefeart nice motor :). I’ve just picked up an RS4, best decision I’ve ever made. The V8 is exceptional, it’s so brutal, love it.

There’s only two things that need sorting on mine. The rear RS4 badge has faded in the sun, so need to get the red sorted again on it. The other thing is really just down to my car OCD, the previous owner has different tyres on the front and the rear. They’re all good brands but I prefer Michelin PS4’s, so will be wrapping the wheels in new rubber soon.

Couple of shots whilst I was out and about all morning.

Love the RS logo in the lights :).

These alloys are lovely!

nope going to have to fork over £270. I left it alone for 12 hours and there was enough charge to use central locking last night. I have to say though my car is very dramtic when it has a flat battery, continual clicking sound and the dash flashing.

Have you got another car to be able to get yourself down to Halfords / ECP to buy another one? Might work out much cheaper.

They are a great looking car. Had a fair few A6 avants and am seriously tempted as a daily when the velar goes back in september. The only nagging thing is whether the tax and mpg would end up annoying me in the long term, what do you get with yours since youve had it? This wont be my sporty car but a daily.

Had a new Brake Servo fitted to my Audi A3 - It fixed the Auto Hold issue I had but unfortunately my pedal feel remains the same, it is more noticeable when the car is cold but I can only describe it as when gently pressing the brake pedal it creaks and I feel that feedback through the pedal, best way I can describe it is your foot creaking as it sinks into fresh snow? It's a small issue but it's doing my head in to a point where I'm tempted to get rid.

Before the brake servo was changed it was lubricated.

Just had a quote for the paintwork on my old '04 S4 to be done - 1350 EUR which isn't too bad really. It's front and rear bumpers, both front wings and bonnet/blending. Mrs would kill me if I got it done now (especially with this taxi on the way :D ) but still, at least I know what it'll cost to do and it's literally next to my house.

I do have a new set of oil return valves that need changes on it to try and fix that issue, so I'll be doing that and fixing any mechanical issues on it and then I'll see later this year when I can get the paint sorted. I need a new set of wheels as well, these are massively buckled and so have slow punctures all over. Not sure I can get away with those mind...

Did anyone watch the etron GT premier yesterday? Stunning car!

Tempted to trade both the etron and TTRS in
Didn’t watch but did see some of the editorial coverage. I agree, it’s lovely, and an electric car that looks “normal”.

A touch out of my price bracket though, I’d like an A5 sportback sized one please (with an appropriate price to match) rather than the A7 size it’s currently at.

oh it's out of my price range, but I reckon I can live on beans on toast for a couple of years

I think we're going to be in for a treat. The Q4 also looks a cracker, and they are already working on a handful of new EVs including a TT....and almost certainly an EV A4 saloon.
