During this hour Hamilton was telling the story as it was, i.e. truth, to the press. Then after the press hour he went to see the stewards but at some point between walking from the press section to the stewards office Martin Whitmarsh must have collared him and told him what to and what not to say.

As I said before.. Hamilton should have had the balls at this point to tell Whitmarsh to take a hike or something. But he didn't.

Yes, and it is at this point he stops being a victim as being a world champion, and in F1 should mean that he can put his foot down. Clearly he was willing to go along with the fib at this point.

The offence is overtaking behind the safety car.

Trulli went off the road so Lewis overtaking him was legal.

Lewis didnt have a problem so Trulli repassing him isnt legal.

All this crap talking about who said what has just made the whole thing blurred and missleading and down right bad for F1.

Facts are, Trulli broke the rules, he got punished, but wooly fluffy issues about what people said that should have nothing to do with that punishment have got in the way. Wether the FIA feel Lewis lied or not doesnt change the fact Trulli broke the rules, but now it seems he has gotten away with it.

Bottem line, Trulli overtook under safety car conditions and has not been penalised for it.

Heat of the moment? this is a good hour and a bit after the race

Do you understand the concept of adrenaline and its adverse effects, or are you in such a high powered career that it does not affect you?

Drivers are under intense pressure on a race weekend and are pumped to the max after a race.

That is how you see it, but Trulli believed that Hamilton was having trouble, in which case he didn't break the rules.

Anyway that whole matter is moot, the big problem is McLaren lying at the hearing.

Trulli didn't have much option but to pass LH though did he? he pulled over to the side and slowed down dramatically. What should he have done after that? Slowed down himself and wait for Hamilton to pass again, causing an endless loop? :p

Adrenaline does not last for an hour, in fact Adrenaline only has a short term effect overall, and the body quickly becomes de-sensitised to its effects.

But it would have become clearly obvious that Lewis didnt have a problem, at which point Trulli should have let him back past. Nobody seems even the slightest bit interested in what was going on on the Toyota radio, which further cements it as a McLaren witch hunt!

Who cares who said what, Trulli passed Lewis, and nothing that anyone did or didnt say changes that fact!

Get your facts straight, Hamilton slowed down so Trulli overtook him since he had no-where else to go

Got hold of the telemetry data have you? Or a transcript of the first hearing? Or quoting media speculation as fact like everyone else?

The facts at this point, are the Radio recording from Lewis, and what we all saw with our own eyes on track. Everything else is unproven media hyped bull.

Trulli would've tried to let him back past and hamilton would not have gone as he was instructed not to do so? Your argument ignores the fact the team were telling Hamilton to allow Trulli past, why on earth would he try and pass him again?

There was a video up here from Trulli's car, showing hamilton pulling to the side...

Now I can't find this video. Wtf did I imagine it...

Sorry if already posted - http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpass_news_item.php?fes_art_id=37419

No stopping that FIA machine now! ;)

Similar stories on some other sites, if they DQ Hamilton from the entire championship that'll be the final straw imo and a lot of fans will be seriously ***** off. What ever really happened, who ever hid something from others, I can't see DQ from the whole of F1 to be a valid solution, for any driver......however, it's just the sort of retarded decision we've come to see from the FIA over the past couple of seasons.

Hmm well Martin Brundle said lewis slowed to 15mph. There is full radio of McLaren and Toyota easily available in this thread. that was covered about 6 hours ago.
