Australian GP 2009 - Race 1/17 (NOT in HD BTW)

I thought Jordan was quite funny tbh, nice and controversial :p

Really looking forward to the race tomorrow now, had so much excitement this weekend already in compared to whole weekends last year - and we haven't even had cars racing directly against each other yet!

It works when you are the interviewee, but as one of the BBC presenters it could just get them in trouble with teams/drivers who could just decide to snub them.

EJ is just not media savvy - hell have to learn quickly as no doubt other F1 personalities will put him in his place...

Very interesting session, great start for Brawn GP and Vettel is also impressive. Should be a great race if the top 10 are very close.
 
wasn't too sure of bransons pr there...british team british workers etc...look at our fuel weve developed blah blah :rolleyes:

thought the program was really good tbh, especially as is only 1st of the season for bbc etc, team needs time to gel...Jake Humphry did a good job i thought, Eddie needs to calm down a bit, and DC was good. Commentators i thought were alright too, again need more time to gel...did anyone listen to fivelive version? i thought croft and davidson were great during the practice sessions...

What a brilliant season we may have ahead of us, that was the most exciting qualifying session i have seen in ages... is it next season or this season when we can know about the fuel loads?
 
Never smiled like that in a long time for Button getting pole. Really glad for him and the team. I think if it was still honda today they wouldn't have been as good. That merc engine even in customer form is most proberly better then the honda unit that would have been in there.

Adrian Newey has also made a great car again. Considering it's not one of the "diffuser 3" it was very quick.

Sorry for being harsh but I chuckled when the messiah went out. We will really get to see what he is like with a dog of a car because Heiki has been easily matching his pace throughout the weekend.
 
BBC coverage was good, except for that outage no adverts is great. Eddie Jordan was a bit odd, and Legard doing commentary I'm not sure on, perhaps he will get better over time though. Humphrey seems like a decent presenter.
 
DC and EJ don't seem to gel do they :)

Think EJ is getting bit over excited about having a camera on him for so long. Not keen on him as a pundit personally.

New commentator seems OK. Best commentating IMO this weekend was the 5 live with Anthony Davidson and the other chap (forgot his name) they worked well and were quite funny is places.

Be interesting to see fuel loads.

Anyone know if I can watch the press conference of Button, Barrichello and Vettel anywhere?

Yeah anthony davidson was fantastic on 5 live i thought. Not too keen on legard with brundle, they don't seem to work well together. Liked watching coulthard but jordan wasn't so great.

Glad i got up early to watch it though, cracking qualifying. just hope button can hold it all together for the race. fingers crossed.
