Australian GP 2009 - Race 1/17 (NOT in HD BTW)

Oh no. I didn't realise its Jake Humphrey presenting. Better not just be in the studio!

Well he's definitely gone to Melbourne, so we can assume he'll be there at least for the first one. I'm sure I read a rumour somewhere that at least some races will be presented from the studio, but I can't find it now.

The V8's have been a support race for the Australian F1 Grand Prix for some time now.

But Not the Opening V8 Race of the Season plus it being 2 250km races over the weekend;)

Also Adelaide does it better:cool:

The track is a wee bit different but not a terrible amount IIRC.

And they are fighting for a new pitlane and Grandstand out in Victoria Park(I think its Victoria Park) but they are having problems with the Jocky and horseracing club and the City Council.

What they want would be awsome.

I’ve decided that instead of my normal bacon and egg butties, I’m going to eat something from each country during the grand prix.

So for Australia - I have a selection of stuff. Mostly really easy to get actually.
Tim tam biscuits :D
Vegemite *not so sure about this idea now - smells atrocious*
Alligator steak *I couldn’t get crocodile*
Kangaroo steak

:D Should be an interesting meal.

Since writing the above I have tasted the vegemite!

What the holy hell did I put in my mouth? People actually voluntarilly eat this crap?!
The taste doesn't go away! I've had 2 double espressos and 2 cans of coke ans it's still there! I contemplating gargling bleach to get rid of the taste.

Absolute classic - been crying at work with laughter - I cant stand vegemite either

I actually prefer Aligator to crock - but only marginal, could never bring myself to eat a 'Roo though. Was at Melbourne last year and boy was it absolutely swealtering!!!

i think someone posted but i didnt see an answer for it, is it possible to record the practice on red button with sky+?

Only option would be going out and getting one of those Freeview DVR's for around £80, they should be able to do it if you go direct to the channel (301 or 302).

I'm so happy that my suffering brought you joy. :p

There used to be a resturant near me that did Swamp and Turf. Big lump of rare cow and a smaller lump of Alligator.

It's lovely. It's got the texture of steak, but a fishy taste. Got to decide how to cook it though. Same with Skippy - no idea how to cook it.

In addition:

Have found out that Abu Dabhi like goat. Easy enough that one.
Camel is proving to be a bit of an issue to locate though.
