Australian Grand Prix 2011, Albert Park Circuit - Race 1/19

Neither Lewis or Vettel used KERS. So impressive driving from both. If V and LH had used KERS, the results would have stayed the same just with a bigger gap between LH and MW.

Some of the drivers look to apply it softly. Add KERS to the setting rear wing and it's bye bye back end (out of the corners at least)

Lewis didn't use kers you half witt lol, I am over the moon, what a good positive attitude I will have when I start work today. :):D:D Well done lewis. top man, Jenson will win though lol

Nice...

When watching Vettel's second Q3 fast lap the KERS meter didn't move - so back to you.

It shouldn't be in it's current form. Either de-restrict it or get rid of it.
100% agreed, the amount of power it currently stores is tiny compared to its potential - one of the things that could florish if de-restricted, especially in its real world applications

Which live timing?

I was using the Live Timing App on my Desire and it was perfectly fine :)

I was using the one on F1.com and it just stopped updating. I really missed it too, it's great for keeping up with everything that's happening.

They use the fastest Q1 time.

Yeah it wouldn't be fair if they used a Q3 time. The track can speed up significantly in that time.

Yep, as I said many times. if f1 tech had real world benefits. You would have floods of sponsorship money and companies wnating in on f1. In it's current form. It is less than useless. It is that they should be concentrating on in the rules, not budget cutting. I still think they should allow other forms of energy to be used. I wouldn't expect to see an electric or hyrdorgen car for ages, but if it's there it not only shows the green side, but has real world application and will attract companies.

Vettel did not use KERS in his lap, so I think you can work out who the halfwit is. Great way to conduct yourself as a new member.

Id be mighty annoyed if I was Button and had to shed weight to accommodate KERS...

Mercedes has dodgy kers as well. are they using the same system as mclaren?
Pretty sure they supply McL and Force India, probably a few others too...

They should be able to, lets hope it's not a complex as in 09 - needed a chassis change as some of the cables were embedded in the carbon.

I'm sure the mechanics are up to it, but with all the regulations on what you can and can't do to the car I wasn't sure whether they were allowed to.
