schumachers been reading sunamas post about hamilton and playstation :D

just saw this gem
Multi-tasking within the cockpit has become all important and those who have honed their skills on the games console, so the argument goes, are in pole position.

“Bull----,” Schumacher said. “I think generally we are all very good at multi-tasking. Some are better than others, certainly, but independent of generation. Playstation? That’s one story. Reality? That’s another story.

“Actually if you go back 10 years ago we had a lot more activity on the steering wheel than we do now. We had traction control; we had multi-function electronic possibility to make adjustments. So what’s the big deal?”
:D:D

I have never bought into the playstation generation argument. It was far harder to play games years ago on keys than it is on a playstation with all of about 9 functions. It's as though people think no one had good multiple tasking and hand eye co ordination prior to a 4 button playstation game pad.

Its not a big deal imo - its not like any of them are new drivers, yes the lesser formulas dont have as much functionality on the wheel as F1 but even so its still there, and each driver adapts (as they do with other things)

Year on year the wheels may get more complex, but its no massive advantage for one driver against the next (even the diesign layout will change for each driver, or at least has potential to, in the same team)

I just wish you could only use it in the race and not in qualifying. The idea is for over taking and there isn't any in quallies. All you will have is drivers doing qfy constantly trimming the wing.

So it will arm in quali?

I cant see it being a lot of use until q3, and even then in the fast runs right at the end, a lot of times are set individually anyway , rarely close enough to make any difference

Concensus is rear wing wont be much use anyway - but I guess the experts have been wrong before :)

I think the extra distance, and the fact you can use it around the last corner if you've got the balls, could make for some good overtaking here. Although TBH, Albert Park was never a bad track for overtaking.

What a silly place to put it!
Turn 14 is a tight turn with gravel run off on the small straight leading to a very slow turn 15(pit entrance) then leading to turn 16. If you go outside of the racing line(turn 16)
your done for as you will go on to the grass and gravel.

What they should have done is have it start just before turn 12
turn it off at the very slight bend after turn 12 and make the run off after turn 12 bigger.
