Australian Grand Prix 2012, Albert Park Circuit - Race 1/20

I'll keep a check on the weather forecast and update it as we get closer.

Also worth noting I won't be here at the weekend so won't be able to update the thread like normal. Am hooning on track with Skeeter :p
 
Something worth thinking about, in the last 12 years, the driver who won the opening race of the season has gone on to win the WDC on all but 2 occasions...

Love this time of year when it comes back around! Australia is always a good place to start the season

Could I make one tiny request for extra info for the OP, would it be possible to add in if its a live on bbc or highlights at some point on the bbc please? Just be really useful for the 5 people who haven't sorted out their F1 arrangements for the season (being me mostly as I'm indecisive) :)

I shall start with my obligatory 'screw you murdoch', sucks that I wont be able to post in this thread as it happens with the rest of you guys but will read it all once the BBC eventually show something.


Edit- if possible can a note be added to the OP regarding whether the coverage will be available live on BBC or if its only available to those who have bent over and thought of england.

I love this time of year — so many unanswered questions:

  • Will Vettel storm the qualifying and first few laps then coast around the rest of the track like last year?
  • Will we get the Webber from last year or the year before?
  • Will Lewis have his head screwed on properly this year or will he implode again?
  • Will JB continue his steady, laid-back approach and keep getting results?
  • Will Alonso have anything to bring this season?
  • Will Massa get any worse?
  • Who will shine out of Schumacher and Rosberg?
  • How will some of the newbies from last year perform like PDR?
  • Will Maldonado continue to be useless?
  • How will Kimi do coming back to F1 for Renault/Lotus?
  • Has the ban on EBD really screwed any of the teams?
  • Will the duck-nose design have any impact on the teams that use it.
  • If so will McLaren have any real advantage?
  • Are Ferrari really struggling as much as it appeared in pre-season testing?
  • Will Mercedes shock us all with some pace?
  • If so, will it have anything to do with the W-duct and will this prove to be controversial?
  • Will RBR sort out there KERS issues?
  • Will it actually make any difference considering they were so dominant without it last season?

I'm just so excited!

Troll be trollin'. Discussions around Sky and BBC have already been covered several times, there's no point in posting hate in every thread. We get it - you're poor. Just move on.

I'm really looking forward to the race, I've been watching some of the Legends stuff on Sky to get myself in the mood :D
