Australian Grand Prix 2012, Albert Park Circuit - Race 1/20

And what did Lewis do over those same 5 years? Oh yeah, was in the title race till the last round twice, won it once, and won races in a dog of a car. Quite how you think that means his stock is low while Alonso has shown his tallent it beyond me. They are equal at the very least, with the difference in relation to this discussion being only that Lewis' services are potentially up for sale.

And as for Horner, when was the last time any team principle was fully honest, especially when it comes to their teams future plans? Do you honestly think that if Hamilton said "I'm leaving McLaren, who wants me?" That Horner would go "nah, were good thanks..", especially given they have an empty seat for next year?

Lewis was being beaten by Jenson, he never won races in a dog of a car either, but still if you say Lewis is the same as Alonso, then your words are he has done very little?

Lewis had a terrible season last year, another one like that and more questions are asked.

Yes I do believe RBR have no desire to sign Lewis while they have Seb, they do not need him, they have what they want.

It was a dog, they then vastly improved it to a competitive car, when it was a dog he was nowhere near winning races.

Ferrari has nothing to do with it, they too like Horner have said they will be going for youth and from their young driver programme when the time comes to make a change.

But still I love how you make a comment then totally swerve it when it's countered and change tact :D

Would be amazing if every driver turned out to be a Vettel, sadly it won't happen that way, which is why RBR have their fingers in so many pies :)

RE: DRS

Will be interesting to see how it works here, because a single DRS zone was next to useless last year.

Interestingly, as I was refreshing my memory of Australia 2011, I remembered JB's drive-through penalty for an altercation with Massa.

Considering all the press last year was focused on the scrap between Lewis and Massa, I think most people will have forgotten that Massa was up to the same dirty tricks at the very first race.

I thought you said they didn't want another Vettel? If they just want a submissive number 2 then either of last years Toro Rosso drivers would have been ideal, no?

Jenson got a penalty for cutting the track to overtake, yeah really dirty tactics by Massa :D

Yeah, I meant the corner or two before that where they are side-by-side going into a corner and instead of driving around the corner he pushes JB wide.

If JB had tried to to go around the corner instead of nearly driving off the track they would have collided in the same way Hamilton and Massa did on more than one occasion last year.

He just doesn't give any leeway to a driver taking him on the outside.

Lewis was stupid enough last season to be just as determined and it led to them colliding all the time.

At least JB had the sense to pull out of the corner. :p

I said selective, as in missing bits, not wrong. Please pay attention.

You conveniently forgot to mention the bit about Massa running him off he road or Ferraris decision to trap him into a penalty by pitting Massa while McLaren were waiting for instructions from the FIA.

No driver will give anyone much space round the outside, everyone will try and push the other driver out of track, its a pretty basic racing move we see in every race.

A good example is Lewis passing Massa at Hockenheim 2008, pushes him onto the kerbs and makes sure there is no comeback, textbook squeezing.

Erm I can remember it well, Massa defended well (and Jenson said so) and done what any other driver did, was not dirty tactics in the slightest. Jenson should have given the position back right away, the fact he never suggests him and McLaren were the ones trying dirty tactics no?

Why did they need FIA instruction? he cut the track to pass, always a penalty and everyone knows it.

LOL. Yeah I'm sure Buemi and Algesuari are really appreciative of Red Bulls commitment to their young driver program!

they should be seeing as barely anyone actually gets a chance at f1 and neither of them were able to show they belonged to be on the grid
