Think Hamilton was stuck up behind a Ferrari or two, Rosberg backing off and letting them pass. Next lap for the Merc's I think once they have some space will be interesting.

Yup Brundle being a bit of his usual dense self, the lap times will come down till rain increases, Ham/Ros went fast then backed off so being a bit slower isn't surprising.
EDIT:- can really hear the tyres spinning on Vettel's car coming out of the final couple corners for the start of a fast lap.

Yup, I don't know how much exactly it's about them not being able to charge enough in one lap. I presume they basically turn off most of the harvesting on a qualifying lap so they have better brakes, but leaves them down on power. Which leaves them needing to turn up the charging in between.

Kimi no happy with that car. But it's WAY too early to say Kimi vs alonso foregone conclusion. At this stage it would be very easy for one car to have an issue and them have trouble fixing it while the other car is fine. Could be that Kimi hates the car but, interesting.
2.3 seconds behind Riccy...... slowing down for one 200m stretch is no excuse for that, huge gap.
