Australian Grand Prix 2014, Melbourne - Race 1/19

So who is accurate for weather, and don't say accuweather as they're possibly the worst!

Not the BBC with there little icon with no info. More info the better. You need the percentages and the amount. As that changed things significantly. after that its take your pick and pay your money. especially this's far out.

Although I've found bing weather to be very good the last few months, since using it. Use that and rain alarm together and its fantastic.

Arrived in Melbourne 4.5hours late this morning, rather tired, but will be heading off to the circuit tomorrow morning for a pit walk and free breakfast BBQ - plenty of last minute F1 parts on my Dubai => Melbourne flight, saw a few Ferrari guys with big boxes, also think I saw half the Force India team judging by the amount of Force India bags on the conveyor belt too.

It's quite chilly here at the moment, and it looks like the Sunday may have some rain or will be quite cold too.

Whilst I enjoy a rainy race, I want to see a dry one for the first race of the year. Plus I don't want to get too wet :p

Hope you have as much fun as I did a few years ago, absolutely mega at Albert Park (although it was FAR too hot for me on race day, absolutely swealtering with very little natural cover / trees). Before 11am I was on the foster's to stay cool lol

Enjoy

Some conjecture about RBR's filming day this morning, preparing for this weekend?
It appears that Red Bull are circumventing the rules once again in their search for speed for their troubled car.

This morning at the RAAF Air Force base in Victoria (around two and half hours from Melbourne) a ‘filming’ day had been organised which had an F/A-18 Hornet drag racing the Red Bull car. This in itself is not a problem – it’s straight line running after all.

An observer told TJ13, “it was a great event and the noise of both powerplants was awesome!”

However after the actual filming was completed, and the jet removed, the Red Bull car would appear periodically and complete a number of laps using the runways and taxiways as a form of track.

With the venue being a military base, photography was banned and any brave individual who felt the slightest inclination to secretly record anything was informed explicitly by the military police they would be arrested if they did so.

Mmm…. How many filming days have RBR now had? Was there an F1 observer there to count mileage?

For now we don’t know.

Does seem a bit sensationalist though.

I'm not going to put any trust whatsoever in a site which, in its own words "listens to the comments and observations of the full time F1 ‘nobodies’ and pull the pieces together – or as I often say “read the tea leaves” – to form a view of what really is going on."

As thought, it's ********.

And about a foot to high, its plain as day it's not this years and no centre brace on rear wing. Actually does rb10 have a central brace, the rest do.

Looks like the rb9

Taken Friday off work :), can't get sat off work, so just have to hope I', back by 6am which is a reasonable chance off that happening.

They've been taking both the rb8 and the new one for existing media days. A picture of what they used against a plane doesn't mean they automatically used that same car later(if they did), ultimately what you put up against a plane, is meaningless, but why would you bother running an RB8 after the media part is finished?
