Good fun this. Sheer excitement!
Love that most of the cars aren't allowed another run! That's what the fans want to see.
Want to improve? You can't. The fans demand an empty track.
 
Oh this is appalling. Ricciardo out, Sainz no time to get another lap in, Massa cba, Verstappen no tyres left..

At the very least, I think then need to let drivers complete the lap they are on when the elimination timer reaches zero in all sessions.

Q2 at least needs to force drivers to stay out until eliminated to have their time stand and progress to Q3.

Qualifying spectators ought to get free admission to the race after this farce.

How can they stay out with tyres that won't set a very competitive time? And they might not have enough fuel, so their first lap or two will be with a bigger fuel load which might cost them and they're eliminated.
 
Damn, hell of a time, 1:26.3 here last year 2.5 seconds faster, of which only 0.8-1 second is from the softer compound. Ferrari closer than they were last year. I'm surprised they gained this damn much.
