Position changes under SC have been part of F1 for decades. I have no problem with it. Vettel stayed out longer precisely to open up this possibility and Haas's error gifted him the opportunity.

I don't like the VSC though, I've yet to see it improve over just bringing the SC out.

It's just more palatable when the driver has actually worked for it and then lucked out as oppose to Vettel who's done nothing all race, was slower than his teammate and completely lucked out.

Agree. Doesn't look like Lewis has an answer in the dirty air. Merc getting arrogant with the car design again?

Vettel didn't overtake him in the pits, he just lost less time as Hamilton was stuck on the speed limiter out on track having already stopped a few laps before.

Could Hamilton have driven through the pits at the same time as vettel?

I'm fairly sure pit lane limiter will be slower than the track. vettel lost less time with his pit stop because of VSC and the ability to accelerate within the pit lane start and end.

Maybe they need to have a time of arrival for the pit lane and extend the limiter on exit for VSC

Shouldn’t be able to profit under a safety feature, this has spoilt the race, Ham can’t beat fresher tyres.

Unfortunately it is bad luck. We see it every race when there is a crash and everyone dives in to the pits or it starts to rain. Lucky drivers profit significantly, but that is a part of sport.

What happened with the Vestappen Alonso overtake? I lost my wifi for the stream.

It's not like anyone else has been able to overtake. This track has always been bad for it but with the current cars it's just a joke.
