There's a huge tarmac runoff at turn 1 and one other corner, IIRC.

I was thinking more that previously they didn't label turns 4 and 7 as corners? They don't appear to have names.

Some maps label it with 8, I don't think it's of any real consequence as the corners weren't physically changed.

Yeah it's not important, but its quite interesting that places like Singapore have 20 odd corners, and Austria has 8 or 9.

There is a trend at the moment of having corners for the sake of corners. The best parts of any new track are the bits with less corners.

Ok AbDab then. That has 21 corners even given it's 2 massive straights. And most of those 21 are mickey mouse affairs.

Yeah, I was thinking more that more corners doesn't mean better tracks, regardless of street vs purpose built.

Basically, old tracks > new tracks, for the most part.
